A full explanation of the recent congress issues.

Recent events have meant that I have to change the focus of this article and address another issue which has forced it's way into the media.
It seems that some citizens have formed the opinion that I made a post in the congress forums yesterday with the express intent of painting some members as "the bad guys" whilst styling myself as some sort of "White knight".
The assumption that my motive in creating this discussion was to make a grab for power and launch a Presidential bid from it is booth foolish and frankly, insulting.
The issue raised is precisely the type of issue I have spoken out against time and time again - for as long as I have been involved in politics in this game. Flick through previous articles in this newspaper, read the manifesto of the party I created and you will find similar themes throughout.
I saw an action take place which to me seemed wrong, and I brought it to congress looking for a discussion.
I was not involved in this action - in fact I knew absolutley nothing about it except a newspaper article posted mocking Koppanyi for being unable to run. (Koppanyi was the main reason behind this action)
Although the discussion descended into name-calling and personal attacks, I managed to gather enough information from those willing to discuss the issue to satisfy me that the action was taken with eJapan's best interests at heart. I was unable to turn the discussion towards the part I had an issue with though - the means used to do this.
I stated several times that my issue doesn't lie with which party or which members were involved, or which party was pushed into or out of the top-5. I was concerned with (and still am) the act of manipulating another parties numbers at will. What I had hoped for was some kind of discussion and perhaps an agreement on what kind of situations this is deemed acceptable to use as a tactic, and when it is not.
I am willing to concede that this is a viable option as a last resort, but the discussion wouldn't be directed along those lines.
When I learned enough about the threat posed, and the reasons for the drastic action taken, I had hoped that we could work out some kind of long-term solution to the problem. I even posted a suggestion on how to deal with the issue for congress to discuss. Unfortunately this was ignored and the discussion never got going.
I logged on today to find some people accusing me in the media of starting the topic with the intent of launching a bid for the Presidency from it. It was completely unrelated, but now that I think about it, it may have had some bearing upon my decision.
This "discussion" highlighted an issue that has plagued our nation for some time now. There are still some people who go on about a divide between parties, but most people no longer see it. The issue seems to have shifted and now it lies with people percieving an attack when discussion is the intent. To all citizens, all that is evident is that congress is fighting amongst themselves.
Discussion, debate and voting - these are the main reasons for having a congress section of the forum.
If we cannot do any of these successfully, then what chance do we have?
I apologise for making this a public matter, but it was already in the media and I thought that a full explanation of the problem will allow people a better chance at seeing what is going on.
I will continue with my next campaign article tomorrow, and remain committed to a clean campaign.

Haven't visited the forums in a long while, but I can imagine the players involved and the conversation. Japan has been stuck on this path for a while now, unfortunately, and I don't see it changing. Just too many people entrenched in their view of reality.
This is an issue sine all non affiliated parties in the top five are at risk. For instance pdn. Was/is planning on removing me as pp of sos brigade to ensure that koppanyi can't run there either. Not that I would do something suicidal like that.
I should add that pdn did not say this himself but rather someone levelheaded who I trust that knows pdn, and I am no longer sure if he still intends to become pp.

Its as much an assumption as the Hungarian PTO that was fended off was based on assumption. Your motive and intent is painfully obvious. You attempt to create "controversy" and then within the same 24 hour period declare your bid for Presidency.
How could one who fully admits to desiring a Hungarian PTO ever hope to run for President? Where exactly do your loyalties lie, by your own admission you would have allowed a Hungarian PTO to occur.

Since the Godzilla/FoH tactic of moving voters to dominate congressional elections and re-order top 5 parties they cannot control does not also work in country president general elections, you're now the "PTO candidate." It is a common FoH tactic from their days in eNorth Korea when "multis" and "PTOers" somehow forced them to suicide attack eRussia, and their external forums are probably where Thodol, who started the game four month after that incident, learned about it.
Personally, I am happy to see Koppanyi and Akki out since it was unlikely they were contributing anything significant to the country. It is unfortunate that they were not replaced with a group more dedicated to the spirit of the democratic process than the Godzilla/FoH clique.
Keep posting the truth, and eventually the party surfers will go back to their real political parties like Crawling Chaos did back in December when he "left the ISP" and suddenly "joined" the Godzilla Party and became their party president the next month.
Angrr what did you do to stop the PTO? Did you try to contact anyone, to devise a plan to stop koppanyi from inviting more hungarians? Or did you worry about your own election bid? You criticize the methods of others, while choosing to do nothing. How convenient for you.

KITA posts more and more libel while less and less people take their time to correct him.
Also this wasn't purely a Godzilla or FoH move KITA, theyw ere removed because of Koppanyi's public intent to allow in a Hungarian PTO.

Libel? Humm... For some reason, the only people saying he is wrong in all these article comments and discussions on the congress are the ones being accused, i.e. FoH, Godzillas and their affiliates. I'm yet to see an independent person (like Angrr himself) saying "wow, that is unrightful libel". 🙂

I'm reffering to comments such as:

Which contain at least 5 falsehoods, and none of which Angrr has tried to imply in his article at all. Or comments about the history of eNorth Korea and the immense amount of multi accounts there which KITA is apparently trying to deny the existance of.

Of course you are happy, once again someone ELSE addressed a dire threat to Japan, sought assistance from all available parties and then solved the problem.
The problem was evident he freely admitted his intent, and only one group of people stepped up to the plate and SAVED THE NATION.
And now those too weak or too dim to actually assist in their nations defense are now calling out foul play as they make a bid for power.
Sad to see Kita turn into "slow" uncle the family keeps in the basement. Have some pride chap!

You condemn the actions that resulted (and in fact was the only option) in the saving of Ejapan from a Hungarian PTO...
So once again as someone who freely admits they would have allowed a Hungarian PTO to occur. Why would anyone want you to be President?
There were two choices:
1. Gather support and openly with transparency knock the PTOers party out of the top 5. Thereby saving Ejapan from destruction.
OR
2. Do nothing and allow our nation to collapse at the hands of a Hungarian PTO squad. That freely admitted their intentions.
You condemn the first choice therefore by logical necessity you endorse the second. Which is a strange stance for one seeking the Presidency.
I still don't understand why it was wrong that they moved some people into SFC to combat Koppanyi moving 4 people into the NAP (http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/donate/list/1303650). It's not really usurping the democratic process, just balancing out someone who was manipulating it. And the only people running out of NAP were the Hungarians and Akki afaik anyways, so the result ended up being less chance of a PTO and no Akki (huge loss there).

I question whether we should use these methods and would like to know congresses views on the matter. That is not the same as supporting a Hungarian PTO, which we are both very well aware of.

Question whatever you want, you did nothing, someone else did and saved the nation. You have offered no alternatives, you personally did nothing at the time to address the problem (being unaware is also a personal failure).
Strangely your "question" seems entirely political motivated, no other reason can be wrung from the "debate".
You either would prefer a Hungarian PTO or are dishonestly confabulating a non-issue in a political bid for power. Neither alternative reflects highly as your suitability for President.

I enjoy how no one is addressing the fact that godzilla has pdn attempting to take over sos because clearly I would do something as dumb as allow koppanyi run without telling anyone and without attempt to get blockers. *rolls eyes*
They can't drop sos out of the top 5 so they are planning on taking it instead. How is this justified?
I realize mucking about with your party is bothersome to you Faeyas (I certainly would feel the same), but if you honestly think PDN's trolling of your party is a Godzilla sanctioned action, then you need a serious dose of reality. I guess his 2-headed run for presidency last term was part of some diabolical Godzilla plan as well?
It sounded godzilla sanctioned since the excuse I was given outside of him was something that sounded Godzilla policy like "Keep Koppanyi out"
I recognize that his efforts last month for president were silly in nature. This seems different to me, however, Gonzo. But I appreciate your empathy, and I sincerely hope you are right.
If this is PDN being silly then I don't mind PDN doing stuff like joining my party to have fun. But I am concerned that this is Godzilla's attempt to help stage off Koppanyi despite the fact that I would never allow him without some effort to kick him out. The same effort PDN would be able to do and perhaps more so.

I wonder if your casual dismissal of the threat is related to the fact you allowed the PTOers to gain entrance? Refused to do ANYTHING to hinder it? I bet the fact that they voted for you and were a directly responsible for your fleeting attempt at being a President is also melodrama.
Faeyas if you don't know whats going on why would you publicly throw around accusations?
PDN recently messaged me saying that he was running because "I wasn't fun anymore" and he would do events like I did in the past, as if all my my Party's events are fully public. Which, to be frank, they aren't.
I am willing to accept this excuse if he is willing to admit that he also had incorrect knowledge and acts appropriately. Otherwise I have little choice but to assume that there is another reason he is not telling me, and must work with the information I have available to me.
I am willing to hear any evidence anyone can provide in this matter one way or another, but until people tell me or show me things, I can only work with what I already have.

PDN is not in Godzilla, and never has been, actually. I realize we're the convenient boogeyman for every single problem in eJapan, but sorry, this one is your problem. I fail to see how "someone is running against me for PP" is some huge conspiracy anyway.

While eSOS and ISP are held to the same standard as the Godzilla Party, I have not seen anything from them that warrants the same scrutiny. It's one thing to move voters to block an inactive party (when was the last time anyone read an article from the NAP?) from playing host to rogue candidates like Koppanyi Ferenc. What about moving voters to other parties in order to support political allies like Reiji Mitsurugi over exReality?
Godzilla had a great criticism when it arrived on the eJapan scene back in July '09: the old parties' leadership was "dominated by a group of friends." This lead to group-think and stagnation. The political parties don't exist to provide politicians support for their election campaigns. They should provide rallying points for competing political ideas.
