A Friend By Any Other Name Is Not a PTO

This situation has more problems for the eUSA. It is not a matter of paying out some cash, or a conflict between countries that are antagonists. It is a situation where friends can be lost and the balance of power can be altered. This is a difficult problem for the eUSA and ePoland. But it need not be.

The effort to PTO the government of Peru is not an official effort of the ePolish government. It is not supported by any government in EDEN/Brolliance or PEACE that I am aware of. It was not planned or executed with any kind of input from the government of the eUSA. In fact, it is an effort by PRIVATE ePolish citizen groups.

So let’s take a look at the situation. A few private citizens decided it would be nice to control a country. So they took it upon themselves to PTO a neutral nation that has been helpful to the eUSA in the past. In fact, ePeru was the only source of high iron, other then Central Greece, during World War III. The eUSA, and many EDEN/Brollaince nations, have adopted a position that they will not interfere with nations that are acting in a truly neutral manner. The nation of ePeru had lived up to that standard by staying squarely neutral during World War III despite pressure from their South American neighbors.

Let’s look at what the efforts of these PRIVATE ePolish citizen groups have managed to accomplish. They have certainly managed to get ePoland embargoed for trade with ePeru. Was that one of their goals? Since ePeru was willing to trade with all countries prior to the PTO all they accomplished is economic harm their own country during a delicate period of history. Even if the embargo did not take place they would not have gained anything that was not there before. So what was the point?

The PTO of ePeru has placed the national leadership of every EDEN/Brolliance nation in a difficult position. They have been forced to choose between supporting private citizens who have fought for EDEN/Brolliance in the past, or to turn away from their national policies against overthrowing neutral governments. It was not responsible or honorable for the PTO group to force that kind of choice upon they call friends. That is not how real friends acts. A true friend cares about the situation they place their friends into.

This is a very clear case of the tail trying to wag the dog. The decision of a few individuals has created a mess. Now that the impact of that decision is coming to rest on them, they are crying about betrayal. That is absolutely the most ridiculous thing I have read from anybody on the EDEN/Brolliance side in some time.

The individuals that are running the PTO in ePeru need to examine their consciences. You have done nothing but harm with your operation. There is nothing to gain from it but individual wealth, at best. It was ill-advised, and ill-executed. It is time for you to concede those points and stop. It is time for the leaders of the PTO in ePeru to show that they are truly friends and capable of seeing the bigger picture over individual agendas. It is time for you to earn your trust and return to ePoland. Because our trust and being friends is more important than anything you gain by the PTO in ePeru.
