So most of those resources would require mass territory expansion, even occupation of our friends' regions.
That is far beyond our current military capability.

You know I believe colonialism to be a very unpleasant thing. In my opinion we should achieve a United Ireand, then fight "shoulder to shoulder" with our allies to help them liberating their regions.

If United Ireland includes Northern Ireland, and if it can be done without eventually getting wiped for trying, I'm all for it.

First off, I hate outside ideas being brought into a game. A game should be played to win and with that said, I see nothing wrong with expansion for the sake of increasing the interests of our team...in our case, eIreland. Just my opinion...

That said, your idea involves a lot of manpower (which we don't have) or a large treasury (which isn't as large as some of the folks we might be fighting).

Before we can ever expand abroad, we need to expand at home...which is to say, we need more active citizens. It'd be nice if all the past politicians that had run on the idea that they were going to create babybooms had come through, but alas, that's not the case. Simply put, without the population (or cash that a larger population brings), we are what we are.

In fairness, the game has RL borders, it is impossible to avoid the importation of some RL ideas.

But the ideas being talked about here are utterly unrealistic regardless of the intent.
