Day 1,130, 03:47 Published in Ireland Ireland by e-kane

Good evening, fellow citizens of eIreland. Allow me first to apologize for this interruption. I do, like many of you, appreciate the comforts of every day routine- the security of the familiar, the tranquility of repetition, the food on the christmas table. I enjoy them as much as any bloke.

But in the spirit of commemoration, thereby those important events of the past usually associated with someone's death or the end of some awful bloody struggle, a celebration of a nice holiday, I thought we could mark this this holiday day, a holiday day who's pagan origins that is sadly no longer remembered, by taking some time out of our daily lives to sit down and have a little chat.

There are of course those who do not want us to speak. I suspect even now, articles are being written, sarcastic comments being formulated, and men with guns will utter war cries on our national IRC. Why? Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object on our forums and in our articles, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of bullying coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission.

How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they should be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. I know why the upper class on the forums are allowed to bully, to distort the truth. Who wouldn't be reluctant to say no to the self appointed saviors? War, terror, low health, low food supply, insane prices on our markets, failing companies, failing population numbers, constant robbing of our state founds, a constant barrage of insults if you say something that breaks the consensus of the self appointed.

There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. A myriad of reasons why the bullies where left to spread their venom.

More than four hundred years ago a great citizen wished to embed the fifth of November forever in our memory. His hope was to remind the world that fairness, justice, and freedom are more than words, they are perspectives. So if you've seen nothing, if the crimes of the lovable rouges of eIreland remain unknown to you then I would suggest you allow the fifth of November, and this christmas, to pass unmarked.

But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to stand up for what is right. Say no to the common culture of bullying on our forums and in our articles. Because bullying is bad for us, the country, and for recruiting new citizens.

We need to stop our dysfunctional culture. Lets face it, we have had people making fun of dissidents in this country for a long time. But this “group thinking” and bullying has not steered eIreland away from its path. We are now worse of than we have ever been.

Some people don’t want to face this, some people wants to shift our focus from this. They do this by claiming that all the problems steamed from the old parties. This is of course not true. The parties are nothing but the sum of its members. Having new parties with the same members is like a change of clothes. The same behavior prevails, so why would things really change?

Vote for the IUP candidates this election. We have no illusion of being something else than we are. If you want to know what we stand for, I invite you to have a look at our wiki page.

Merry christmas and happy elections all!
