A Cabinet and A Mission

Day 1,179, 19:54 Published in USA USA by Jamarcus

In the somewhat possible event that I am elected Party President of the Libertarian Party, I took the Liberty of putting together a very decent Cabinet to help me steer this ship. I have no doubt in my mind that these people I have chosen to guide this party over the next month, have what it takes to do what is asked of them. I would even go so far as to say that each and every one of them has the knowledge and ability, to lead this party themselves. And someday, they will.

Party Structure

Party President: Jamarcus
Vice Party President: Jelly9473
Chief of Staff: Paul Proteus
Recruiting Director: CRoy
Election Director:Claire Littleton
Deputy: Marxus
Internal Director: DanielCD
Deputy: Joe Newton
Communications Director: CRoy

This is a simple leadership structure that I want to put in place. The members I have named are only the Heads of their Departments. I will leave it to them to decide who they want to work under them. It takes a lot of time and energy to run a Political party as big as the Libs, and there is no reason that a handfull of people should run it themselves. Not when there are so many bright minds within the party, both young and old. The Internal, Recuiting, and Communications Departments are where I want to see the most teamwork, as they are extremly important to maintaining our position as the #2 party in the country. Hopefully, we can close that gap between #1 and #2.

The Libs Writers Guild

The Libs writers guild was a great idea started by CRoy that fell into stagnency, I would like to get that up and running again, so I am appointing Guild Member Jelly to run it, and Deershark, a great up and coming war reporter to help him. Hopefully we can expand this program and get some good Lib writers more well known and recognized. Also, the Lib writers guild will no longer just be a sig bar, there will be weekly prizes given to the best articles and the Libertarian bulletin will publish some of the winners to bring them some more publicity. This is too good a Program to let it die. I won't let it.

Inter-Party Relations

With the Revolution, we climbed the political ladder from the slums to the penthouse in a very short period of time. This won us much popularity, but also a lot of hate. We've gained a number of friends, but also a number of enemies. If we ever want to have a Libertarian hold the office of POTUS, we must build bridges with other parties. A good political party works with it's rivals toward common goals. This is the only way things get done. I speak from experience. Both as a Party President and a MoFA, that you can only do so much and get so far on your own. I believe DanielCD is perfect for this job. His isn't polarizing and he is generally well liked by all.

Weekly Party Meetings

The other day, me and CRoy were talking about the good ol' days, and I brought up the idea of having weekly party meetings(Conventions, Tailgate parties, whatever). It was the most intresting thing we did all week in the UIP, and that's saying something. I think these meetings would do wonders for getting everyone on the same page and increasing activity among the average party members.

Thanks for reading.
