A BEACON OF HOPE.

Journalism is a privilege not a right. It is the duty and responsibility of every Journalist, Columnist, Anchor-Person, Editor and all members of the fraternity related to Journalism, to have ethics within their practice. When ever a story is written or an opinion is shared, we must see both sides of the coin. We seldom focus on one end and deprive the other, causing great bias to a story. I had made such a mistake recently. Being human and not a saint, we are prone to make mistakes. It is he, who accepts his mistakes and corrects them, who is a man of character. I apologize to my readers and my countrymen, for I have made a mistake. A mistake, I regret and I will try, through this article to clarify by stating the facts and my intentions.

Before I do so, I must praise the good that has come out of this unfortunate and regretful turn of events. Some light that has managed to tear through these moments of darkness. Chemistry proves that when there is water treated with chlorine, the slightest occurrence of bacteria causes a reaction, causing the chlorine to multiply and the bacteria to be eradicated. The unfortunate event that has shown me the good I was unable to see before, is that the article "THE UNFORTUNATE TRUTH OF AN eNATION", which caused a situation where the citizens of Pakistan were hurt, insulted and disgusted. I apologize for my words, I in no way meant to assail the masses, I was upset with only a few, those few who kept quiet when we, being newbies, were made to feel unwelcome. Having said that, the good that has come from this event is simply put the outburst of anger and protest from true patriots of ePakistan. This anger and protest has been dormant in the real world. For example, try littering or spitting pan in the streets of Karachi, the citizens will show no sense of ownership and dignity. Not a single person protesting the wrong that has been done. My article was a protest of these same dormant emotions, I witnessed from some. Having to see the reaction and the anger of being labeled unpatriotic, has shown me the emotions that prove my next statement. It proves that ePakistan is ALIVE! It proves that we aren't just here as a crowd but are willing to unite as a nation to eradicate what is wrong. Our patriotism like chlorine, destroying the bacteria of hate by showing we are together.

I take my words back, I am a proud man today and I shall sleep in content. For I know that our ePakistan is safe. It is safe from all those people who wish to cause it harm. All our enemies who wish to see us fall. I shall sleep with peace today, because I know that my brothers are there when I need them. Today I salute you for showing the emotions of a concerned ePakistani. Proudly showing off the colors of your "GHAIRAT" which are so important and essential in every aspect of our life.

My fellow countrymen, I wish to clarify and apologize. I did not curse upon us all because of the actions of a few. Allah (SWT) has given me a life and a soul. I agree that I may be an impulsive person at times. One who can be irrational and make haste decisions. But, I wish to gain your trust that I will never even wish to cause any harm to my kin. I will never wish to cause any embarrassment to my kin. Lastly, I will never ever wish to let your heads bow down, for you all to me are like my kin. Those who have misinterpreted my article to be an assault on every citizen, I am sorry for standing incorrect. I shall be careful to choose my words in my articles in the future. Which will stop such misunderstandings to ever arise again.
