859 Days Later

Day 1,792, 09:22 Published in South Africa South Africa by GreyHunter

Last time I wrote an article, it was day 933, so in terms of comprehension and editorial skills, mine have gone pear shaped.

The one thing that has not changed in all of this time (859 days exactly, or 2.35years, or 74 217 600 seconds), is the constant PTO-ATO, imminent wipe out scenario.

I was reading the papers today (more than my 27 daily zombie clicks) and there is a recurring theme that happens every 180+- days. If its not the poles, its the Huns, if its not the Ajaj fucktard Bruno's, its the Turks.

I suppose being in a small country at the ass-end of the world does have its advantages and disadvantages, but this is getting a bit boring. We have been wiped out before and probably will be sometime in the future, but we always make it back. This game has become a whine fest with no cheese and we always seem to be on the defensive in eSA.

I say stuff it. Lets do something different and fun. Lets go PTO someone else - just cause this is a game and would make things exciting and interesting. (If not PTO then lets physically attack Zambia) Let the Turks have eSA, lets go PTO some small little shithole like Jakarta on those little islands in the middle of no-where.. Imagine the entire eSA population, of 47, moving in unison and working together towards a common goal. Now that would be heroic. Last time that happened people said we would never be on the map again, but we pulled together, blew a crap load of RL cash, paid so many mercs that we employed 83% of erep citizens, and got our country back.

Lets do something fun.

Maybe this is the ramblings of a grey hunter looking for a thread to claw back into the game, or maybe this is where the true erep failings show. You start off, aim for CP, work your ass off, spend RL cash, get there, try hold to some form of power, move on, try for power to keep you here, then slowly wither into the dark void and abyss of 27 clicking and final slow death.

We talk often about baby booms, which would be great if they worked in eSA or RL SA whichever way you want to look at it. Short version, they don't. Instead lets keep the players that are here interested, keen and motivated to add some real value. In the time that I have been here, we have lost so many good men and women we would have had around 750 active, kickass citz, that we could have invaded Brazil and held it for ransom. I remember this game being so exciting I lost 2 relationships cause I had to be up at 2.12am to do a joint strike and plan for the day ahead. Fun.

Anyway, back to Zombieville and the shadows, to see how the next 859 days will pan out. Maybe its time to move on, or come back harder than Thors, or Krimpies "hammer".
