After a slight hitch, our new recruits are being enlisted today we welcome Challenger2UK, Mr Knee and Dean Piggott into the Desert Rats.

I think Omegagrem is talking about field marshal Bernard Montgomery (Monty),commander of Desert Rats during western desert operation in Africa against Rommel's Afrika Korps.
