War! What is it good for? Absolutely everything!

Day 537, 18:55 Published in Romania Canada by Dominik Sikora

When you're new to this game you have no idea what is going on. Q1, Q2, wellness, food, Romania and Indonesia are the world's superpowers, what the heck is going on? Slowly, with the help of Plato and hopefully some friends, you get more and more acclimated to things. You start realizing what is important, even if you haven't decided what you want to do with yourself. Media mogul? War hero? President? Mercenary? Business tycoon? All very different paths, but all can benefited by one thing. One thing that doesn't even really require money or effort from you. War. War helps everyone, it helps everything.

Ok, so I kind of lied, it does in some ways require money and effort from you. War is useless really without hospitals. Fight in a region with a Q5 hospital and you can fight five times and not lose wellness. That means lots of experience, but Q5 hospitals aren't free. Some rich citizen or generous admin doesn't just install one in every region. If you don't have one where you are you stay and try and get one there, or more commonly, move.

The benefits of war for the citizen means free experience. If you are certain to be at war everyday in an area with a good hospital you are going to stay there for a very long time. This means that not only does the individual benefit but the nation benefits, too. How many people move to Romania because they know for a fact Romania will be involved in a bajillion battles a day? And on top of that, has good enough hospitals to let you fight often? Once new players figure this game out they save for a moving ticket or get one from another country to go fight and level up. This means they are working there, spending money there, consuming products there. Not here, in Canada.

By now it's apparent, but what does a nation do? You can't just go around picking fights. Well, maybe you can. How many other nations need war? How many other nations' citizens desire to fight? Just about EVERYONE wants to fight, be it for territory or just for experience. This begs the question, why is it so hard to set up war games? Why do we bargain for war games costs with ATLANTIS when not only do we gain population and experience for our citizens but the economy flourishes, too? And no, the answer is not randomly attack a PEACE nation like France without anyone knowing. We need to constantly be in war, we need to create an identity as a nation that is war friendly; that is, ingrain it in peoples' minds that if you want to fight, if you want to go up in rank, if you want security, Canada is the place to move to and stay.
