755

Day 609, 19:17 Published in Canada Canada by Bruck

755, that’s the number of Canadians now residing under foreign occupation, in hostile France. Since the fall of Quebec Tuesday morning many more Canadian’s will see today they are no longer Canadian Citizens living in the country they love but in a foreign land, hostile to their home. And lets not forget the 109 Canadian’s living in USA controlled Manitoba, although not occupied by hostile invaders the citizens remain outside of their national borders. I say, where will it end? Even now Ontario remains open to invasion at any time, I hope we will not let Ontario fall as easily as Quebec but I remain unconvinced.

The Canadian people have shown vim and valour in the defense of Canada, extra special praise should go to the CAF and it’s leadership. Longtime General Coda and Minister of Defense Gaidal Cain have proven time and time again their dedication to the cause. However, while the CAF has precise directions and guidance from informed leadership our elected Congressmen are left shouting “let us help!” while their requests continue to fall on deaf ears. Congress is paralyzed by the executive branches unwillingness to cooperate instead seeing Congress as a threat instead of a valuable resource.

To date Canada has lost Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nunavut, Manitoba, Quebec and PEI (although PEI was recovered in a resistance war and Manitoba by the forces of the USA). Considerable losses for a nation like ours. That leaves 775 Canadian’s behind enemy lines and 864 including those in the USA. Grave numbers for a nation of 4500 citizens almost all living in a region that is threatened by hostile action at any time, within 24 hours any amount of Canadian’s could find themselves relying on our nations 2nd official language. But could all this have been prevented? Currently not all of them, not without cannibalizing our economy to the point of no return, but could some have been prevented? Yes. Last evening the CAF and USA counterparts delivered a lightning raid on PEI liberating it from the French. A splendid victory to be sure but in the process we lost Quebec with it’s 670 citizens, it’s Q5 Defense System (valued at 400 gold) and it’s Q4 Hospital (valued at 300). Excuse me for quantifying the value of our provinces but who will argue that PEI is more important than Quebec? Would anyone dare say the 35 PEI citizens are worth more then 670 in Quebec and that we should reclaim this nations smallest and least populated province before it’s most cultured, 3rd most populated, and important economic hub? Quite frankly I’m shocked to see that we would allow Quebec to fall while spending valuable gold and weapons on defending PEI in the first place.

I pledged myself to defending Canada long ago, I pledged my support to our armed forces and I pledged myself to aiding President Jacobi and our Cabinet. I have fought continuously spending all my personal wealth, supported the CAF on missions and in it’s continuous efforts to defend Canada, I have hardly been utilized as a resource by our executive branch. I offer my expertise at every opportunity in cabinet and sometimes go unanswered while the same suggestion is applauded in Congress. The same Congress that is dying to know “is there a plan or not?” and if they can help only to be ignored or turned down. Excuse me if I say there is something wrong here. If it’s heresy to criticize in a time of war then I guess I’m a heretic. Now if you’ll excuse me I need to convince some old men that the world is round.
