Join the new world

Today, my girlfriend is going to start reading, from what I'm told, an epic steamy "romance" novel. Some call it romance, some call it trashy. To each his own.

I've been hearing a lot about this series of books on the radio and reading some about it online and to be honest...I'm not sure whether I should rejoice or cringe at what might happen to me after she reads these novels?

She's a pretty avid reader and a real "firecracker" in our relationship, so I can't imagine that she's never read something like this before? At least tomorrow is my country's celebration of its Independence Day which means I have off from work (which may be time spent recovering, I guess we'll see).
