I. Taxes Raised!

Congress has debated how to maximize government revenue in the backrooms of Capital Hill for a week now. The Economic Council made a few different suggestions regarding the best tax amount. After a failed proposal by Congressman chickensguys, two proposals by Congressman Oblige appear destined for passage. Here are the two proposals:

Tax Change: Food
Value Added Tax (VAT): INCREASED 2%
Import Tax: INCREASED 69%

Tax Change: Weapon
Value Added Tax (VAT): INCREASED 2%

How the taxes will affect you will depend on how self-sufficient you are. In any case, how do you feel about the new taxes?

II. Congress Debate Whether to Disband [CLASSIFIED]

A long-time government program, [CLASSIFIED], is being considered for the budget’s chopping block. Congressman [CLASSIFIED] introduced the idea and has gained some support. Funds for the program will be diverted to [CLASSIFIED]. The Discussion has quickly moved to a Proposal. The Proposal swiftly moved to a Vote

I have requested the Discussion be made public as the program is utilized by a variety of Americans. Otherwise, the program may be cut without forewarning.

III. Survey: Help Improve the Congressional Record!

In an effort to sustain interest in this newspaper, I am asking readers to fill out a survey. It is completely anonymous and will hopefully make this paper better.
