313: Conflicting policies

Day 53, 00:00 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Zuku_Zulu

One of the main criticisms of 313, is that while we take a center-right stance in the politics, we've clearly been expressing opinions/introducing policies that clearly retain left wing tendencies.

Is this an abandoning of accepted political methods, in favour of a more 'tailored to fit' view on running the country? Or is it evidence that 313 needs more time and experience on Erepublik to gather together its ideas, before it considers leadership over the UK?

Our closest rivals, the UKRP, see this as a weakness in our party, compared to their solidity in maintaining the left wing policies that they stand for.

It can be argued that 313 encompassing both ends of the spectrum helps to attract neutral members who are not sure on their political standpoint. This could even counter the effects of 313's alienation of users unfamiliar with GameFAQs.

However, those wanting more political stability, and those who feel they need to rely on a party sticking to the ideas that made them join in the first place, may be swayed in the direction of the UKRP.

Many may also be left unsatisfied by the somewhat shallow side of 313's party, the gung-ho war on France and other issues, but some may view the largest UK party as a breath of fresh air, rather than a stifling nusance.

Who is the most worthy leading party of the UK? Only time will tell.
