313: Conflicting policies
Zuku_Zulu
One of the main criticisms of 313, is that while we take a center-right stance in the politics, we've clearly been expressing opinions/introducing policies that clearly retain left wing tendencies.
Is this an abandoning of accepted political methods, in favour of a more 'tailored to fit' view on running the country? Or is it evidence that 313 needs more time and experience on Erepublik to gather together its ideas, before it considers leadership over the UK?
Our closest rivals, the UKRP, see this as a weakness in our party, compared to their solidity in maintaining the left wing policies that they stand for.
It can be argued that 313 encompassing both ends of the spectrum helps to attract neutral members who are not sure on their political standpoint. This could even counter the effects of 313's alienation of users unfamiliar with GameFAQs.
However, those wanting more political stability, and those who feel they need to rely on a party sticking to the ideas that made them join in the first place, may be swayed in the direction of the UKRP.
Many may also be left unsatisfied by the somewhat shallow side of 313's party, the gung-ho war on France and other issues, but some may view the largest UK party as a breath of fresh air, rather than a stifling nusance.
Who is the most worthy leading party of the UK? Only time will tell.

you represent those 10% 313'ers that are not socially handicapped immature idiots. I love you're style of writing. good job zuku!
Shadow, was that really a neccessary comment to be carried out if you want to govern the country?
We may be opposition, but we are all people with the same aim. To make the UK as great and as dominant nation is it previously was.
Shadow's partly right, quite a few of our members are immature and don't take this seriously. However, some of us do want to play this properly, and we're trying to get our whole party to do the same. The neutral votes matter more to us than anything else, despite how a few of us come across...
@chris: really, All I see is 90% of ppl who do nothing else then posting message like "313 FTW", porno adds and ppl who have idea of what they are talking about. And as I said above: It's not every 313 member that acts this way, just the majority. And If you know that you don't post those stupid comments, then clearly you belong to those 10% of mature and responsible ppl and then you shouldn't feel offended .
313 probably don't deserve a lot of the criticisms about our users, it's just certain users are giving us a bad name.
I actually agree with Zuku. And I'm glad to see your 'conversion' to the game, more articles like this are welcome. My main criticism of you is that if there are any 'neutrals' wanting to join your party they are at a disadvantage because you have an off-site forum where you are having most of your discussions and any non-313ers will be left out.
Here is the forum if you are willing to join: http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/gentopic.php?board=941437
That isn't the 313 board, it's specifically for Erepublik, and you don't need to be an existing 313 member to get along fine over there. And to tell you the truth, most of the discussions are people are asking what to do/how to do it, not about major political issues.
thanks for the link. but I don't understand - why don't you encourage people to go the UK forum that's already set-up? it will be easier to create a UK society if people have to go to one forum instead of two, don't you think?
You're right. For anyone who doesn't have the link to the UK forum:
