What a week it's been dear readers. We're bringing you this edition straight from the US of A. As this paper crosses the Atlantic, we look at just what is going on in the election for America's Largest Party's leader, we look at how America is fighting its way back on to the map, and finally, we bring you Plato's Weekly Wednesday Update and rumours that if true, could shake the Erepublik in one of the most brutal ways yet. The United States Workers Party is the largest and one of the oldest in America. It used to have around 600 members at its height, but recently has fallen to around the 490 mark. The USWP is known to produce great leaders, such as Josh Frost and Colin Lantrip, but last month, the USWP picked not such a good leader. They chose Stanley Ibcus, only 2 days older than yours truly, and already the Party President of a major party.



To cut the story short as we have a lot of ground to cover today, it went bad. He destroyed the party, removed senior members from the board and changed the party's name and ideology. The USWP is now looking for a new leader. The 4 main candidates vying for the top job are Princefigs, Alexander Auctoritas, Laxsnor and Josh Frost.

Alex has been around since Sep 2009, in terms of experience has 3 times in congress, 30 Battle hero medals, and 3 hero medals.

Josh frost has greater experience still, with 4 terms in Congress, and 3 times as President, ranked 3rd in the country in terms of experience, and has been around since the early days of Dec 2008

Laxsnor the newest of the candidates, having only been here since May 2010, has the most terms in congress, an impressive 7 as well as a Battle Hero medal, and the only candidate holding a society builder.

Princefigs has also been around since Sep 2009 is a member of Seal Team 6, has been in Congress 3 terms and won a battle hero medal.

These are all experienced individuals, and in terms of policy, while they may differ, we have at least 4 strong candidates, who will be able to lead the USWP and America into a brighter future.



Which brings me nicely onto America as a whole, the good news is progress is being made. America has 51 original regions, on the 3rd July, this is what America was reduced too.

America has since lost Arizona, but has gained 8 other regions as you can see below
America is breaking out all across the map.




Plato's update this week, was a bit lacklustre, very few changes, all that happened is now any building you click now costs 10 health regardless of the quality.

However, the rumour mill is in full swing as rumours emerge that in a few days Plato will take the drastic step of removing the resource bonus, to aid smaller countries who currently find themselves wiped from the map.
