[FIST] CTHULHU [What does it take?]

Good morning all you beautiful people in the eWorld. Today, we are going to discuss what it takes to be PotUS in the eUnited States of America. Let's look at some of the qualities that our CP should possess.

(Vigilance)
What does it mean to you to be vigilant? For me, it's always having a watchful eye on the prize. The prize could be a particular war or AirStrike. It could be sealing off an avenue of attack for an enemy. Whatever the goal may be, our PotUS needs to be the Sauron of erepublik. How many of you have set an alarm to push 'the button'? As fantastic as it may seem, it is required of you, when you are PotUS.

(Diplomacy)
This isn't just about being able to converse with people from very different cultures and perspectives. No, diplomacy is the ancient art of 'making' people do things for you and the country, of their own free will and accord. The great statepeople in the eWorld were masters at this skill. Once Oblige actually made the CP of eSpain attack at a time that was NOT beneficial to them. Oblige 'made' this fool so upset and badgered him/her so much that they actually pushed the button at a time that benefited the eUSA. He was a master at this art, even before he became CP. This quality encompases tact, precision, using the 'what's in it for you' principle and many many more. Our CP needs to have this in abundance to be successful.

(Charisma)
While this may be seen as an adjunct to diplomacy, I set it aside because this quality draws people towards you. It is an unseen magnetic field that draws those of importance to your point of view. And this cannot be taught, no no no. This quality is how wars are won or lost. It affects MUs of all nations and their commanders' priorities. It brings other Heads of State to you, asking for your assistance or offering theirs. It can be the sum total of your legacy, and it can make or break your bid for the coveted Oval Office.

All of our efforts at this time are or should be centered on our alliance and its affairs. Our next CP needs to bring not only the expressed members of the alliance but the satellites to bear on our enemies. The game has changed and we must recognize the need to change ourselves to be successful. Telegram has become an integral part of the game. Honestly, I'm still having difficulty adjusting to this new aspect of the game, but it's necessary if we want to be successful. Are you prepared to change for the betterment of the eUSA? Are you confident that both candidates have what it takes to lead the eUSA, garner the support of our allies in our efforts, and has the knowledge/experience/discipline required?

You know who has these qualities, and works well with our allies?

Vote Baby Groot tomorrow and the next day. Vote for the eUSA's success.

My name is CTHULHU.
