Huey George of WRP - eUK Leaders Interviews June 2017

Day 3,504, 05:37 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Topher Fair

To prepare for the Congress Elections on the 25th, I am interviewing each of the UK Party Presidents as they once again battle for control of the nation.

Today I am interviewing Huey George of WRP, tomorrow I hope to speak to James Radcliff of TUP.

Topher: Thank you for agreeing to the interview Huey. So how did you get started in eRepublik?

Huey George: I think I was looking for something different to NationStates when I first stumbled across eRepublik.

I don't remember too much from my early days in this new World, however, the Socialist Party and the military unit Liberty members from memory were happy to answer my early questions. Things really developed for me when I founded the Workers' Rights Party and later its military unit the Free British Irregulars. I cannot list the numerous members of both the WRP and the Irregulars who have or still do support me since those days.

Topher: What do you want to achieve within eRepublik now?

Huey George: I had achieved everything I set out to do within eRepublik. These goals were to;

- Become self-sufficient and develop my portfolio of factories and companies which I call 462-477 Engineering, Industrial, Manufacturing and Agricultural Concern to remain able to respond to changes in the economy/industries.

- Represent the eUK in Congress

- Become the eUK's Country President

Although I have recently added to become a Mayor and/or a city councillor to the list of my ambitions and continue to develop my aircraft rank.

Topher: What are your political beliefs and policies in eRepublik?

Huey George: My political beliefs align with the Workers' Rights Party. We want as many citizens as possible to have a say in how the country is run. We trust the people tempered by prudence, this separates us from a lot of the other parties of the eUK who dis-trust the people tempered by fear. At the heart of our party is fairness, freethinking, creativity and socialism.

In terms of policies generally taxation and player support should reflect need. Increased when required and reduced when not. Clear Congressional / Government plans should inform this need. In terms of war, it's a necessity of game mechanics so through direct conflict (training or Mutual Protection Pact) or in the support of our allies our fighters should have opportunities to fight for the UK or our allies constantly.

Topher: How do you think that your policies differ from the other parties?

Huey George: As the new world has aged, top 5 party policies have become more similar. I think where the main parties differ now is our approach when policies need changing or new policy is required.

I think the Workers Rights Party balance and adaptivity in implementation and changing policy stands us apart from the others. It takes finesse and communication to refine long-standing eUK policies to fit the current needs of an ever changing eUK citizenry.

You cannot be in constant opposition to successive standing Governments, or attempt to control the eUK citizenry with a new policy or reinforce unpopular long-standing policy without question or be too direct in forcing single party issues else you lose drift from the working with all in the eUK.

The Workers' Rights Party has the “best” history of using our finesse and communication so our policies remain most aligned with the eUK needs.

Topher: I really appreciate the time you spent answering my questions Huey George, best of luck in the election on the 25th of June.
