Hey Government
TBRaiders
People say there aren't enough articles and that's probably because you guys discuss everything in places the average Canadian doesn't have access to see or can't find on that crappy forum you all use. If you don't have time to write an article, feel free to drop a link to the posts where the casual Canadian can find out what is going on with the following:
1) AS on FYROM - I don't think I like this country and and would love to drop hundreds of million in damage taking their areas from them, but first things first. Canadian lands are in someone else's hands and I want to know what we are doing about it? Communicate the plan before regular citizens start enacting a plan without you. I like RW medals and TP damage.
2) I want to see talk at least bi-weekly on who we are signing/resigning MPP with. These get renewed every 30 days. Tell us common folk why and any reasoning that doesn't violate OPSEC. Again, feel free to just post a link on FA discussion in a weekly government article.
3) Minimum Wage - nobody gives a crap. Communes pay low wages in return for tanks. Smart communes work in countries with stable bonuses. There are offers out there for 60 CAD so no need to protect the non-commune citizen.
If you want to maintain a democracy and not have to ask outsiders to help overthrow a dictator every couple months, then do right by the members who aren't in the good ole boy club.

I was going to write more, but then I saw the RW in Alberta was about to start so threw this together. I know the government had nothing to do with this RW, but I'd still love to hear the plan moving forward.
I think explaining the MPPs or at least our allies would be a good idea.
The old dictator started all of these past laws and we are trying to get them voted down now.
I know, I saw he did but it still made me think that all the time stuff happens and I don't know why or until it happens. I see laws proposed and voted on, but I don't see the discussion about it. More transparency will lead to happier citizens, especially when the people can post their thoughts and help shape direction. Everything that is decided doesn't have to be through representation. We are a small enough community and have these very means to get public opinion on any issue.
Well, we were sorta working on that exact thing before Rylde crashed the party.
Congress was just starting to get active and people were getting involved. We don't have anyone posting updates in articles ingame much though. Technically congress and the government are separate.
Work didn't have to stop because of the dictatorship. Really, it sounds like it this when it should have went into overdrive to have a better plan in place post dictatorship. Congress should be providing an update to the people and the President and posting it weekly. The President and his staff should be doing the same.
I'm disappointed the Air Strike didn't stick, but in the end I'm glad we didnt toss away 10k on the MPP wtih Indo 😃
Had to tell everyone to vote no on all that garbage lol
🙁
The minimum wage is much sexier with a 0.69
This is exactly why i gave up on congress tbh both sides think it's acceptable to instruct everyone how to vote then they call each other out on it like it's the worst thing ever , What is the point of congress at all if you need to vote the way you've been instructed?
It's the job of party presidents to whip the vote sometimes, that's politics.
Yet it's somehow more acceptable when it's the *good guys* doing it lol.
that's the problem with binary good vs evil thinking majial. Its OK when good people do bad things, but its bad when bad people do anything...
I had a chuckle at all of those, especially the trade embargo on the axis of evil. I knew you were messing around, but it got me to thinking about transparency from our government moving forward as well.
The Embargo on North Korea was my suggestion lol
I heard this guy made these articles each week telling the non-government players about whats going on. I forget what it was called though....
But government transparency should be kept a lot more accountable, I agree.
I love, vote, and endorse everyone of your articles.
When I was in congress years ago I used to write an article every week that talked about everything we voted on giving at least a brief explanation why I voted the way I did and then about everything else that was going on. Saw it as a requirement of the job.
Not meaning to butt in, I have no dog in this hunt. TBRaiders has a point, however it is needed to consider that not everything should be public info and what info could be public is often times discussed in group PM in such volume that it cannot be relayed to the public easily, at least not in a timely manner. That being said, there's no excuse for the Exec, whether CP or dictator (unless it's a hostile dictator) to not relate an overview to the public. The Minsters should also relate information about their departments regularly too.
Here's an example of "How to" from one of my terms. This may not have been my finest hour but displays how communication was maintained even at the worst time. Notice that my replies in comments attempted to answer questions not deflect them.

IMO govt has business to do, that business is to take care of things for the average Joe. In the process, part of that business is to relay to Joe what the hell is going on. Not only does this let Joe know that he made a good decision putting those people in charge of his business, if the communication is both ways, then the govt can adjust their strategy to do what Joe wants done.
"Tell us common folk why and any reasoning that doesn't violate OPSEC."
The only thing that shouldn't be public info is planning for wars or political manuevering where surprise is to our advantage
A person of few words 😉
Put yourself in congress, after we will discuss 🙂
