[MoD] Introducing The Military Unit Premier League!
Ministry of Defence
Greetings!
After releasing the taster shot earlier this week, I am writing to formally introduce the Military Unit Premier League!
How it will work
Each update the table will consist of the top 15 Military Units at the time of each release. There are 3 categories to choose from that will decide where each MU sits in the table: Overall Damage, Fighters and Percentage Active.
The positions are calculated like so:
Overall Damage x Fighters x Percentage Active / 5000000 = Total Scored.
Thanks to Count Drakula for doing the calculations in the first place o7
The categories have been chosen carefully to try and benefit both larger and smaller MU's. i.e. a unit with 100 members but with 10 active will equal the same percentage as a unit with only 10 members but 1 active, because the percentage active would be the same. This is also why the Overall Damage hasnt been included as it would swing more in the favour of larger Military Units.
The taster table from last article, this table will be updated every 3-4 days.
Points System
Alongside each release will be a points table which will work as follows:
1st = 18 Points
2nd = 16 points
3rd = 14 points
4th = 12 points
5th = 10 points
6th = 8 points
7th = 6 points
8th = 4 points
9th = 2 points
10th = 1 point
Points will keep on rolling until the end of the current term when a prize will be given out to the winning Military Unit overall, a few more prizes will be decided nearer the time so keep checking for more updates.
If you want to see your unit climb the table make sure you try and keep your unit's as active as possible for a chance to win!

Good luck all MUs o7
Nice!
this sounds really great
Zone Champions League! YES! 😃
Does the 'Official MU/The Legion' gain a distinct advantage?
Voted!
I would have liked to have some input on the way this is going to be scored. To be honest I don't think this is going to work out. Look at how far out The Legion are.
With overall damage such a big factor you really are pushing numbers.
I would have always gone with a points system where you got say 10 - 0 points for various different things. For instance top damage would have been a single category. While the Legion would normally get 10 points for that if you had a lot of different categories it would make it much fairer.
Top Damage, Highest Average Damage, High % Active (every person who gains a single exp point in a day = 1 point. Percentage against the maximum it could be), Best attendance at the strikes etc etc.
I would say at least 10 members needed in an MU too, otherwise someone with just them tank one week and bang they win lol. Not really promoting the team community you want to come out of trying to win this.
Surely damage/fighters would be a better average?
Just popping by, you could have a MU full of Div2 players who are 100 % active and put out major damage - but do less total damage than a MU full of Div 4 players with half the activity - due to inbuilt imbalance of damage output in each division - Should likely replace Total Damage with 4 total damage in each division, and the damage per fight in each division aswell.
That'd be super fair.
I prefer this league:

Maybe a Government sponsor of this one, rather then having two running.
This is floored you better doing separate point for each area see the SS I've done with your scoring, scoring for highest damage per player and most active fighters. http://prntscr.com/p3k84
Overall Damage x Fighters x Percentage Active / 5000000 = Total Scored.
this is crap re do it
"The categories have been chosen carefully to try and benefit both larger and smaller MU's. i.e. a unit with 100 members but with 10 active will equal the same percentage as a unit with only 10 members but 1 active, because the percentage active would be the same. doesn't tally with
"Overall Damage x Fighters x Percentage Active / 5000000 = Total Scored"
I go with Average Damage x [Percentage Active/100] or D I W method
great idea.... bring it on..
The scoring system overwhelmingly favours the larger MUs, regardless of 'percentage active'. Considering how things stand, only one MU will ever stand a chance. The rest may as well not bother...
Interesting idea which I think will be fun, but as others point out I think the weightings give unfair advantages.
It's a league, not a cup, so it isn't the end of the world if one team wins all the time, but it does need tweaking - opponents defeated and damage per fighter could be useful categories.

x2
Liberty is not going to win because only a few members, it's better if count for each division
Congratz for the legion, you are the winner for the month of February, March, April, May, ....... forever and ever
'It's a league, not a cup, so it isn't the end of the world if one team wins all the time'
If it's for shits and giggles then sure, but when prizes are handed out to the same MU week in week out it'll get rather boring.
So what if I'm the only one from my MU in this league? Can I still play? 😃
You can be an honourary dentist Xanthar. o7
This is falsification! -British Army is the Best! )))
