2135 Days on Death Row
Over a half decade ago I was blacklisted by the eUnited States Congress. My political rights were torn asunder in the name of justice and with that I endured a complete and total repudiation from the community. I was banned from entering the country. I was banned from running for PP. I was banned from running for Congress. I was banned from running as President and labeled an enemy of the state. I was castigated to the gates of hell and was prodded to enter. I nearly quit the game. But from the deep depths of despair I saw a dimly lite light.

I had never really cheated
I had never really resorted to personal attacks, at least not like others
I had never been terribly {emphasis} outrageous and by many accounts I was perfectly sociable and reasonable to speak with.

I did however follow an agenda that was at odds with the status quo. I wanted to throw the elite off their high saddle and see the smug faces of the ruling class vanish. In a game about politics one would think there would be space for deep political difference but as I began to disturbed the norms of society Congress had enough and I was blacklisted on the 30th of July 2012.

Now people are going to say, you worked with the Serbs, you worked with Pthut, you worked with the agitators and I do not deny it or even seek to minimize the seriousness of my actions. At the time I was willing to work with anyone, and I have always felt my purpose was to engage in the game in such a way as to engage others. However there are certainly better ways of going about it. I say this all not to be sinister but merely to highlight that we don’t actually want a circle jerk of agreement where the greatest event is an erepublik marketing poly. Every day can be fun, exciting and engaging.

In my opinion no player should ever be subject to blacklisting unless it is explicitly clear they are engaging in activity the eRepublik Community would deemed illegal. We all know that many of the elites in this country have at least one other account. Many of them don’t even deny it. While Blacklisting should not be the 1st step we should work to make this game better. Encourage our friends to lead by examples and come forth proud of the fact they don’t cheat.

Today in June 2018 I have been unblacklisted by the United States Congress and for the first time in over 2000 days I can finally taste freedom. I would like to thank every member of Congress who decided to vote to unblacklist me, I shall not let you down. Your bravery and your courage do not go unnoticed and serve as an inspiration for us all. People say, that “you either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain”, in my case, I think the opposite is true. As it stands today, I think I have beat Jamie Lannister’s to the completion of his redemption arc.

With that said, Thank you but know our work has not yet ended, as it stands today there are many names still blacklisted, in many cases these are active players that could be contributing to the larger success of eUSA. We should fight to remove these players from there bondage.
