I Want to Fight for My Country!!!

Day 1,687, 21:39 Published in Australia New Zealand by Marcos Arolia

[tl;dr: This article discusses Foreign Affairs and Defence, revealing the choices I have made for these positions. I’ve made slight adjustments for the Ministries, restoring the Australasia Minister to a Regional one (neighbours and neighbour’s neighbours). Defence reform is also mentioned and discussed more in depth.]

gday Australia!

The Parties that chose to place their faith in me. I thank this final list for their support and will make them proud.

During the last article, I spoke about the need to retain and recruit new citizens so we can remain viable within the region. This article will finish my Cabinet selections and discuss Foreign Affairs and the more important Defence reforms. Let us continue shall we?

DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

I will admit something to everyone: this has been the most difficult position to fill. This is mostly because this requires a certain timeframe to be effective. The best Ministers tend to be the ones closest to the time zones as they can directly communicate with allies and others in quick succession. It wasn’t until today that I completed this selection

Nicolas Bonaparte was the first selection of Cabinet for Minister of Foreign Affairs for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He has been an ambassador for multiple countries, held Ministries in Brasil and France, has been President of France and is currently an Australian Senator. His merit can’t be ignored and results in his invitation to the Cabinet.

Testware is the next choice for the Department, this time for Regional Affairs. Succeeding binda33 in the position, his responsibilities will increase from the Australasia region to Regional. What this means is his responsibilities will include not only our neighbours, but also our neighbour’s neighbours which mostly encompasses our region. Only the west coast of South America is exempt from this, as it encroaches too much upon the Americas Minister.

The final choice was the most challenging one by far. We have very few active people who would be able to perform this task according to the definitions which I have set up. But after days of searching, I have selected Adam Beck to fulfill the MoFA (Americas) role. I have known him to be a hard worker who is patriotic and loyal to eAustralia and represents the kind of person this country needs.

There are no changes to the Ambassador Programme. The OFS will remain as it is with its current manager.

DEPARTMENT OF DEFENCE

This Department is considered by many to be an important, if not THE most important one to consider who will become Prime Minister after the fifth. It is Defence that organizes the Aussie military potential into a cohesive unit. The individuals I have chosen are perfectly capable of organising and reforming the Department of Defence and its responsibilities to become more effective in realising the true potential of eAustralia’s military damage.

For the Minister of Mercenary and MU orders, I have selected Ramiz Emmi. This is easily the most unfamiliar name in my Cabinet. However, I have found him to be working hard in trying to find Mercenaries on his own initiative during battles. He also is wealthy in military experience, currently being the CO of EDENInci, a small band of the finest tanks within that group.

For the manager of the Civilian Orders, starscreamzz was selected based entirely on the most important element for this section of Defence: activity. He has shown himself to be highly active, always conversing with others and highly focused upon the military portion of the game. I consider these traits to be a valid reason to invite him to the Cabinet.

Finally, the MoD of the Main Units of Australia is a rather new face to the political sphere of the game, but is also an enthusiastic and active individual worthy of this promotion. CyberCasper is another example of the type of people eAustralia needs to experience sustained success. Brought in last month, the current Minister has proven himself to be devoted and willing to place the work required to take this important position. I have high hopes his first full term in Cabinet will be a highly productive one that will lay the foundations for our success in the military.

Could you elaborate on your plans about how war funding will be allocated? Specifically if the ADF will be reformed to provide more supplies for lower divisions, if there's going to be emergency rocket funds, if MUs will get direct funding, if the tax rebate will stay? –RedWolfz0r

Other than the last question, which was answered with Finance, I will do my best to explain how I foresee defence reform to take place. I am perfectly willing to admit that I am not really a military man, though I’ve taken part in a few militias and the first NZDF before its dissolution along with a short time in ST6. Currently I am a member of the FuzzyBunnies and will possibly be the first person elected as a member of that MU.

The first thing that must be done is appoint a new Marshal to succeed Malgoo. As it is possible that the current MoD has yet to choose, it will be passed down to CyberCasper to do so if I were elected. The Marshal should be active and reform minded to face the necessary challenges that exist. By law, the MoD is incapable of being the Marshal, so this is something that should be done as quickly as possible.

While this is taking place, I will be inviting the leaders of the active MUs into an active Military Advisory Board to join in creating a system that is beneficial for as many people as possible. When it comes to the reform of the military system, I believe that the MUs, which have been valuable in the war against eNZ, should have a say in what direction the new reforms go.

I do hope to see that new players are more focused on by the ADF and Government in general, as mentioned in the previous portion of the Manifesto.

Well...maybe not like that.

I also think that other things should be done to make certain that babies can grow quickly. One idea I personally have is that, after a baby has worked for one month and gained 10g, the ADF pays the remaining gold so the baby can build a Rocket Factory. The question I think you may be asking is why? The answer is simple amigos: A Q1 rocket is an automatic bh in division one (d1) and is a free kill without gaining xp! New players would be able to quickly gain gold to build and improve upon their training grounds, adding to their str very quickly. If timed properly, babies can quickly gain bhs one at a time, allowing for quick development.

I have run out of time, so I will have to end this article here. Thank you for reading and vote on the fifth of July. I will attempt to have a final word ready before the election, but if I do not I thank everyone for reading and commenting on these. I find it rewarding to listen to everyone contribute to a cause, no matter what it may be. There is only one thing left to say:
