Yesterday 16 Shells published a contest inviting the Citizens of the eWorld to "Tar and Feather" the Avatar of the Congressman who granted Citizenship to a certain Hut. Pierce Vaughn played along wonderfully. (I think we can probably get him to wear the winning contest entry for a few days even!)
I conducted an impromptu interview with Congressman Vaughn, during which I tried to ask those questions we all have in mind for him. Here are the more interesting portions of that interview:
OK, so why Pizza the Hut?
PtH is a good friend of mine. He helped me win congress...so I thought the least I could do is let him in.
Did he work that out with you prior to his leaving for eGreece?
No, I didn't even know he left. He just messaged me asking if I could let him in and I said, "sure".
Just for the record, do you think PtH is bad for eAmerica?
PtH? Nah! He is a good guy. If people got to know him better, they would love him. He is a helpful guy and a good friend. People say stuff about how he has let Serbs in and other people who they think are PTO threats, but it is not true. The people he brings in are great eCitizens who fight for the eUS and usually stay out of politics.
Name 3 great Citizens PtH has brought to eUSA?

You might not know them but Djuradj od Slavonije, Porucnik Miloje, Uros Radovanovic. These citizens fight for eAmerica. They vote for congress members who have nothing but the best in mind for eAmerica.
Editors note: egov4you shows that Djuradj od Slavonije has clicked the fight button 3 times in 11 days for 2320 total influence. Porucnik Miloje has done about 500K total influence, and Uros Radovanovic has not fought a single time since coming to the eUSA.
Given the status of PtH as "Enemy of State", why did you not mention your association with him during your candidacy for congress? (I am sure the Libertarian Party would have liked to have known!)
I did not know at the time he was an Enemy of State. I found out after I won congress.
And when you became aware of (the rules regarding PtH), why did you not raise a question in the congressional forum (prior to granting citizenship)?
I didn't care. He has proved a good friend to me, so he has earned my trust and respect.
You have approved 6 Serbians for Citizenship since becoming a Congressman. What do the Serbians have to offer the eUSA?
Good people, activeness, and they fight for us.
How did they find you specifically?
PtH found them. I told PtH after I saw that he was an enemy of state that I will not let anymore in if they end up being PTO'ers.
Do you have anything to say to the Citizens of the eUSA who find it reprehensible that you acted against the law by granting Citizenship to Pizza the Hut without discussing it with your fellow Congressmen first?

Is there anything PtH could do that would cause you to question his integrity as a citizen of eUSA? If so, what would it be?
If there was something he would do to question his integrity as a citizen of eUSA, I would no longer help him. As of now, there is nothing I can think of that calls his integrity into question.

Hell no.
Will you run for public office again? And if so, under which party?
Most likely, yes. I have some friends in USWP. If a Party was going to endorse me... I think I would have a chance with them.
Are you in contact with PtH at this very second?
No. He is offline. Or just off IRC.
Last question: Even though it would prevent you from doing what you feel is right, is there anything about eUSA politics you would like to change?
It is fine as it is.

He seems nice. I do think the witch hunt against Pthut has got to stop. There comes a point where anger turns into outright aggression and when aggresions crosses into bullying and I fear sometimes the USA is dangerously close to the latter.

@Max King - I have been in exactly your shoes before, as I am sure most have. He has been given "second chance" after second chance. Go ahead and take your turn, I can't blame you. I myself have tried several times to "let bygones be bygones", "bury the hatchet", and so on.
PtH has every right to play this game however he wants. In REAL LIFE I would defend that liberty and we would probably be good friends.
BUT IN THIS GAME, his agenda is ABSOLUTELY ANTI-eAmerican, and he uses ingame lies to forward that agenda.
So I have no problem playing a game along side PtH. He is an opponent just like someone I might play Monopoly against. His tactics are often unfortunate, but that's also the nature of this game. He actually does eRepublik tactics quite well.
But make no mistake. If you care about eAmerica, PtH is your opponent too.

Max - you don't understand - bashing on someone is the eRepublik way. Until that glorious day when erep 404's for the last time, people will find someone to mark for attack. The 'popular' players have, in many cases, done more to undermine security yet they are immortalized! Even though they turn their attacks on eUS and it's allies. Its just fun to mobilize the nation against made up things like "PTO's" and the like. Its really a win-win situation though, eUS popularists get a kid they can beat up on the playground and pth gets more press.

imho, usa would be a lot less interesting(stupid sentence yeah xD) without Pizza in it, whether you like him or not : )

Any America who considers those forum made laws valid is an idiot. The only valid laws in eRepublik are the ones voted on within the game. A congressman has the right to approve an citizenship he wants.

Ah Politics in the eUS. If you do what the wanna be elites tell you to do, you are allowed to run for congress. You question them once or dont do what they want you to do... you are exiled from any political office.
@Pfieffer: I think its funny that you think you can speak for the entire USWP. Granted the 50 fake accounts you have admitted to gives you sway as a sniper and the brown nosing/threats you make give you some measure of fear but unless your PP at the time or are puppeteering the PP at the time, You really dont have much control over who the USWP runs.

PtH doesn't let Serbs into the US, he just gets Pierce to do it.

Okay how about I also chime in as a USWP person, and my response is this... HELL NO!!!!! As we can see, the odds seem rather in favor that most in the USWP do not want him to be a part of our elections in any way whatsoever.
PTH is the definition of bully. He claims he gets everyone elected with his divine support, then subsequently browbeats anyone who doesn't become his puppet.
The pfeiffer problem?
Pfeiffer is an Executive Board Emeritus, as he is entitled to be for serving on the Executive Board for more than two months. I actually do a check on the USWP Forum very often for multiple accounts, and nothing suspicious has come up yet, even when I include open proxies as apart of my search.
At least Pierce has a brain saying that eUS politics is fine as it is.

Beyond the eRep animosity with PtH, a great article and a great interview. Vaughn is hilarious though comes off so douchey that Summer's Eve probably has a scent named after him. Still, great article.
