365 Days In Emerick's Shadow
Glove
Some music?
I have been here for 365 days, a freaking year. What do I have to show for it? Not much. Though There has been some good and bad times and a whole lot of nothing. I’ve met lots of people, Phoenix, Eden, enemy, foe, and I would like to thank you all for making this a worthwhile experience. But I'm going to share with you a little bit of my history, tell a few stories, and then we can all cry and love each other later. Just make sure Justin McCravok stays away from me, cause you know, he's UIP...and well those guys..
The beginning of my erep life wasn’t so great. My friend chesehead invited me to play and I said sure why not. The first thing I did was join a political party. I joined the USWP because at that time I thought being a
I lost my first bid for Congressman and left the USWP.
Syrup’s mentoring probably didn’t help either.
So then I joined the TC like most people do, got my honorable discharge, and then I chilled for a bit. Some guy from the MI (I think?) tried recruiting me and he told me to clear my friend list of Phoenix people. So I did, so I thought. Apparently I still had like 4 out of a list of 500 people. I was rejected and I raged like a little school girl. I earned myself a nice Dishonorable Discharge. I really got close to joining Phoenix for real at that point. I had the moving ticket and everything. But I ended up getting talked out of it. I instead decided to PTO the Ultra-nationalist Party (now defunct) and my epeen doubled in size. There were about 20 good guys in there and I eventually got it to around 35 people. I eventually got bored though so I decided to let someone succeed me, and well without me they sucked hardcore. During the next 8 months I was still butthurt over the MI thing but I eventually
The army was cool about it though and so I joined AGE, however, I found it kind of dull. But hey thats just me. I just didn't like it, I can't figure out why, it wasn't that bad. I met some cool people, but I didn’t have that same vigor that I had in the TC. During this time I read Max McFarland 2's newspaper constantly. He got me to fall in love with fight club again and I enjoyed his playing style. That is why I am Edward Norton.
Don't you see the resemblance?
Anyways, I eventually ended up resigning from AGE (now renamed to the Calvary) and joined S.E.E.S.
I had initially hated S.E.E.S, I hated everything about them, I was still a moral fgt and thought doing nice things was good. Well nope. I learned being a troll and a fag in general is much more entertaining in this game. This is not real life, this is a game and it took me a long time to distinguish the two. In real life I'm a really nice guy, I truly am, but sometimes I like to let loose and unfortunately you are all the ones to suffer.
🙂I realized that in order to have fun in this game, you have to forget everything you know, and just lose everything, only then are you truly free. Once you realize you don't have to go with the flow, you can be a complete jerk, you can be the biggest troll you want to be in this game, and it will feel great. I enjoyed the sweet tears that followed when S.E.E.S would gangbang a player. If there's one thing I learned about S.E.E.S though is, it is this, they always put the country first. They may be some of the biggest and sickest trolls in this game, but they know how to get things done.
I joined S.E.E.S right around the first rebel uprising. It was around this time that S.E.E.S started to stagnate. Emerick had just returned to us, prior to this the only thing that kept me motivated was the stories I read about him and Dio. I would refer to his old publications when I needed inspiration and the wiki. It brings me great sadness that he has been banned. Again.
I also participated daily in the S.E.E.S SS militia; we were seriously one of the most organized forces in V2. We traveled the world killing pigs and helping Eden. We were bros. The incentives were nice too, I recall Max WallingBottom giving out gold to those of us who killed Top Phoenix Players, like Dish and Flik.
Screen-shot Montage Time:
I shaved Portuguese mustaches.
Indos.
Dish
❤
Flik
And then of course my own people.
GOD JUST LOOK AT HOW BEAUTIFUL THAT IS.
Also Loland.
Then Admins killed V2 and I felt irrelevant on the battlefield again. I've won Congress a few times, whipped a few legislative slackers, became the IES director, bla bla bla, but none of this means anything to me. The Exodus was one of the last things I actually enjoyed doing, fighting for Pakistan was a good time. The Exodus probably did more harm than good but it was a good experience, it gave me time to think about what I want to do in Erep. If there's one thing I want to stress more than anything to anyone reading this article, it is to change the way you play the game, or at least change it so that you are actually enjoying your time here. If you feel the current atmosphere and the way the general public approaches the game is good, please quit lying to yourself. The status quo is a terrible thing. The only ones who like to keep things the same are those who are already at the top. We need to bring them down. I want to log in each day and not know whats going to happen. I want countries and parties to rise and fall like Michael Porter's Nephew. I want to see fresh faces and quality propaganda everywhere. At least this would make the game a bit more interesting, after-all, we are all here to have fun, right? If you feel coming online has become more of a chore than a form of entertainment, its time to re-evaluate what you are doing. Do a complete 180.
Cheers

Interesting article, but I don't see what the title has to do with anything.
That battle in Qinghai was full of so much win. I miss it.

great article. I've been here since July 2009 and haven't got much to show for it myself, but still find myself drawn to the game because of it's casual play style but opportunity to grow (without growing too strong, out doing casuals like myself to an egregious extent.)

Great read (even if you are an Authoritarian Jack-Booted Thug =^P)!
Great to see that you have morals in RL.
