13 años, se dice fácil, pero hablamos de 13 años. Unos países no tienen esa cantidad de años en Erepublik

Este día es un día muy especial para mi, ya que este 07 de Junio del 2022 estoy cumpliendo 13 años en Erepublik. Hace 13 años que podemos decir que he visto un poco de todo. Yo he formado parte integral de 2 comunidades en Erepublik, la comunidad mexicana, y la comunidad austriaca. También he sido parte de algunos proyectos extranacionales. (Hablo del extinto Canal de Michahel).

Y claro, qué mejor manera de celebrarlo que escribir un artículo con un contexto sobre estos 13 años acá.

Por supuesto, en este artículo hablaré de cómo estos 13 años han influenciado en mi, porque aunque este sea un juego, tiene una parte social que en alguna forma, te hace pensar y te puede influenciar en cosas más adelante en tu vida.

Osea, conozco gente en México que tiene hijos gracias a Erepublik. Un ser humano en la vida real nació gracias a este juego.

¿Y cómo te puede influenciar en la vida real?

Bueno, en este artículo les hablaré sobre 2 cosas: La primera sobre qué cosas viví por acá. La segunda, sobre en qué aspectos influenció un poco mi manera de ver las cosas fuera de Erepublik. Lo iré entremezclando. Quizá así algunos pueden entender cómo es posible que alguien pueda seguir 13 años (con algunas pausas) en este lugar.

- Yhamilitz en 3 cuentas -

Para los que me conocen desde hace años, sabrán muy bien que esta no es mi primera cuenta. Esta es mi tercera. La razón de eso, es por una sencilla razón: No querer subir de nivel. Porque siempre me ha gustado hacer una diferencia con un nivel bajo. Aunque podemos decir que la versión oficial es que me eSuicidado mis cuentas por eAmor. Porque todo es más lindo cuando existe una razón romántica detrás de cualquier cosa.

En esos tiempos, la gente pensaba: ¡Que exagerado! quizá en ese tiempo tuvieron razón, pero por otro lado, aparecieron las divisiones, y me gustó la idea de estar en divisiones bajas dominando las barras. Mi cuenta no es la más fuerte en Erepublik, pero en su división, puede hacer una diferencia importante, tan importante que influyó para ayudar a mi actual país a obtener recursos.

¿Y cómo fue mi eVida en esas 3 cuentas?
Bueno, en las 2 primeras (Yhamilitz, y Yhamilitz von Innsbruck) se puede decir que viví algunas cosas similares. (me eEnamoré) otras muy diferentes. (En la segunda cuenta, como que no hice nada socialmente remarcable) No haré esto muy largo, lo que tienen que saber es que en las 2 primeras, estuve en 2 etapas diferentes. En una estuve en mi época de preparatoria, y ahí conocí muchas cosas sobre el mundo. Tenía unos 15 años, y en ese tiempo yo estaba en un momento en donde mis intereses se estaban formando. En la otra, era un estudiante universitario estudiando una carrera que en sí, mi elección tiene un poco que ver con lo que yo experimenté por acá. Osea, un surgimiento de intereses.

¿Qué interés empezó a surgir? La geopolítica y la cultura. Y claro, Erepublik afectó bastante mi manera de cómo veo el mundo fuera de mi espacio natural de existencia (México y Estados Unidos) Tomen en cuenta mis otros intereses: Fútbol, Astronomía, Biología, y por supuesto, el espacio exterior (Por eso estudió física).

Pero la Antropología y la Historia, involucra estudiar a los seres humanos, para entenderlos mejor. Mis otros intereses, son algo diferente. Pero bueno, dejen y les explico un poco como está el asunto por aquí.

- Los intereses que Erepublik me creó -

Mis intereses hacia la geografía, historia y antropología fueron traídos gracias a Erepublik. Empecé a usar el Inglés (Un idioma que antes de mis 12 años me rehusé a aprender porque lo veía como una imposición). Gracias a este lugar, mi curiosidad hacia Europa se inclinó precisamente en los países germánicos (Más que nada Austria, que me llamaba la atención desde antes de jugar en Erepublik) y en Europa Oriental. En algún punto aprendí primero los estados Austriacos (Que no son muchos, pero si me dicen de esos, se por donde quedan), y algunas cosas sobre países como Croacia y Serbia. Porque si bien, en la vida real, la gente en América sabe poco sobre esos países, lugares como Erepublik los pone en la lupa.

Polonia, es un país que se puede decir que en México pueden ubicar (Pues son católicos, y pues en México, el Papa Juan Pablo II fue bastante popular) Aunque en mi caso particular, un pequeño país apareció en mi lupa gracias a Erepublik: Macedonia del Norte, como oficialmente se le conoce.

Antes de Erepublik, no tenía idea que existía. (Pues bueno, es un país pequeño) Incluso yo nací en Erepublik antes de que el país surgiera. ¿Qué tan desconocido puede ser este país en América?

Dejen que les ponga un ejemplo con un país de América que posiblemente muchos ignoren: El Salvador

Un país pequeño en América es El Salvador, que en sí, es un país que tampoco es muy conocido en este hemisferio. Pero hay un detalle. En México los conocemos muy bien más que nada por algunas cosas relacionadas a la migración y porque en el Fútbol tienen las localías más pesadas de las eliminatorias de la CONCACAF. (Créanme, sé lo que les digo) Sin embargo, ese país también tiene mucha migración en Estados Unidos. Hablamos de un país que tiene 3 veces más población que Macedonia del Norte.

El Salvador es uno de esos países que solo la gente que convive con ellos lo puede ubicar. Sus tortillas son más gruesas que las tortillas mexicanas, usan el dólar, y también es conocido como “El Pulgarcito de América”. Solo tienen 2 estaciones (Lluvioso y Seco) además de que muchas de sus casas tienen techos de lámina porque los temblores son comunes allá.

Demográficamente tienen una composición étnica similar al de México, La gente habla Español pero usan el voseo (como en Argentina). Religiosamente es uno de los países con mayor porcentaje de protestantes en América y en el Mundo. (33%, que es un porcentaje mayor al porcentaje de protestantes en Alemania) Aunque su religión dominante es el catolicismo.



Es un país pequeño, pero tiene sus características. Sus cosas que lo hacen único. Y así como yo sé algunas cosas de ellos, así fui aprendiendo de Macedonia del Norte.

En un Octubre 7 del 2010, ese país apareció en Erepublik

Y vaya que me acuerdo cómo nació. Un país que nació con mucha polémica. Todo por un asunto del nombre. (Un asunto que no quiero traer acá, pero es una referencia de cómo estas cosas empezaron a influenciar mi manera de ver las cosas) Y aquí aprendí unas cosas: En Europa Oriental, hay muchas cosas que mucha gente en América Latina pasa por alto, pero que a la vez, es parte de nuestro contexto. Esa región es diferente, y a la vez, similar a nosotros los latinoamericanos, y hablo en muchos aspectos. Tantas cosas que en mi experiencia, es más fácil entender situaciones de vida con las personas de allá que con nuestros vecinos ricos.

Pero en el asunto de las rivalidades, ahí es cuando empecé a ver que hay cosas que simplemente van más allá. Y aquí es cuando yo aprendí el valor de la historia para esos pueblos, así como el valor de su identidad como nación que después fue puliendo mi interés en la antropología.

Ahora, ¿Por qué Macedonia del Norte?

En el juego, había intentado integrarme a Bulgaria (Pues, eran mis años locos), pero el idioma fue una gran barrera. Eso sí, los ciudadanos me decían que es uno de los países más antiguos de Europa. (Osea, siempre he ido aprendiendo algo de cada país) pero ese país en específico, que nació dentro de la polémica, al parecer se volvió una comunidad muy fuerte. Y había grupos muy influyentes. Hablo de Dark Side Wolves.

Y ahí chicos, comenzó algo muy importante en mi estancia en Erepublik.

Les comentaré una cosa curiosa. No se como decir “Hola, ¿Cómo estás?” en Francés (El segundo idioma extrangero más popular en México) Pero se como decir eso mismo en Macedonio: Zdravo, Kako si? (Здраво како си?) (Siendo justos, al Francés le tengo un poco de miedo, por eso de que me cuesta relacionar el idioma escrito con el idioma fónico)

Osea, puede ser un detalle con poca importancia para muchos, pero en grandes rasgos, ese tipo de interacciones fueron de las primeras veces en donde me empecé a relacionar con gente que no eran de mis ambientes “normales”. Y ahí empecé a descubrir una cultura diferente a la mía que era completamente desconocida.

A veces en mis tiempos libres, me juntaba en el IRC con los chicos de Dark Side Wolves. Conocí a una jugadora que de repente, empezamos a hablar mucho. Ella me enseñaba cosas de su país, y yo le hablaba un poco del mío, que no era muy desconocido la verdad (Por las novelas, porque según tengo entendido, en el siglo pasado, las novelas mexicanas eran populares en los balcanes) Algunos al leer esto, saben a quien me refiero. (Sobre todo alguien que también conocí en esos tiempos por ahí) Aprendí otras cosas que para ellos era común, y que para mí no. (Como la Navidad, que se celebra el 7 de Enero en esos lugares) Si bien, uno puede sentirse orgulloso de su país, no por eso estará cerrado a experimentar y conocer otras culturas. Que después descubres, hay cosas en donde se parecen mucho a pesar de las diferencias.

También descubrí Croacia y Serbia por Erepublik, y también aprendí un poco sobre países como Hungría.

Poco a poco esto dio como resultado una cosa: Que me decidiera a Estudiar Antropología en el 2013. En esos tiempos, aún jugaba en Erepublik, pero también estudiaba eso. (Eso más que nada cuando usaba mi cuenta “Yhamilitz von Innsbruck”) En esos tiempos, mi estancia en Erepublik fue tranquila, (porque estaba leyendo muchas páginas de libros que teníamos que leer) Pero ahí comencé a escribir de manera más relajada.

Si, lo sé, son cosas que algunos no imaginaban. Quizá se cuestionen sobre cómo es que algo así puede influenciar a la gente.

Yo solo sé una cosa: En mi generación, tenemos el Internet, que es una puerta al mundo. Y si bien, el Internet no puede reemplazar nuestras experiencias vitalicias, estoy seguro que más de uno por acá, de no haber sido por el Internet, no hubiera tenido una experiencia determinada en su vida.

En mi caso, fue algo más de adolescente: Conoces algo nuevo, y te atrae lo exótico. He de mencionar que empecé a agarrar interés en conocer mujeres de esos lugares (que la verdad es imposible, porque aquí casi no existen) porque bueno, lo desconocido puede ser algo que alimente tu capacidad de asombro. Sin la capacidad de asombro, nuestra vida pierde su luz. Y me atrevo a decir que mantiene tu espíritu juvenil. Es como la rutina. Si nunca la rompes, puedes desesperarte.

Conocer un país entero, y descubrir su gente mantiene tu cerebro activo. No se ustedes, pero cuando uno viaja, a veces el tiempo se hace mucho más lento. Y disfrutas mucho ese tiempo. Bueno, esto es un poco parecido.

Y claro, puede definir un futuro, porque uno sigue su camino en base a sus intereses.

- Los viejos y nuevos conocidos -

En la parte social por estos 12 años, haré 2 distinciones: Con 2 cuentas mías: Mi primera y mi última cuenta: No hablaré mucho de mi primera cuenta, pero aquí hay algo relevante que necesito explicar. En la primera cuenta, la mayoría de los que conocí ya no existen. Pero los que aún existen, la gran mayoría son de la comunidad austríaca. En esta cuenta, aunque ando en Austria, me reencontré con viejos conocidos, y conocí a mucha gente. Otros simplemente ya no están con nosotros. Es importante mencionar: La gran mayoría de los mexicanos que conozco actualmente, los conocí en esta cuenta, no en la anterior (Conozco a algunos, pero la mayoría no los conocí)

Es algo difícil hacer un seguimiento de cómo era la vida de la gente hace 10 años, porque tampoco es como si me interesara saber de la vida privada de las personas, pero simplemente uno descubre que la gente ya no es igual, uno mismo tampoco lo es. Todos evolucionamos. Y nuestro personaje en Erepublik también. Unos están de 2-clickers, pero hace unos 5 o 6 años estaban metidos aquí. Simplemente su ritmo y estilo de vida es diferente. Antes, muchos solo eran estudiantes, y ahora ya trabajan y tienen familias.

Hay un jugador histórico que recuerdo muy bien, y que sigue activo hoy en día: Romper (De Croacia) Ese jugador ahí está. Pero sus actividades en Erepublik son diferentes. Porque quizá al igual que yo, nuestras vidas evolucionan. La chica de Macedonia del Norte también ha cambiado. Todos lo hacemos.

Al pasar los años, todos vamos encontrando nuestro sentido a la vida. Así funciona esto…

También en el camino, conoces nuevas personas. En Austria, en Sudamérica, y en México he conocido gente. Algunos son viejos conocidos, y otros los conocí desde hace no más de 3 años. Es a partir de mis ojos por lo cual, pude observar el tipo de personas que están aquí. Quienes estaban ahora ya no están.

Tengo amigos cercanos acá, unos de México, otros en Austria, y alguno en algún país adicional en este juego.

- Más allá de Erepublik, en el mundo real -

No hay motivo más grande para hacer cosas cuando encuentras a la persona que te motiva para eso. Si alguno de ustedes ha seguido algunas de mis últimas publicaciones, recordarán que les hablé de una chica especial.

Si bien, el avance con ella ha sido lento (pero seguro) he de mencionar que ya le hablé un poco de este mundo a ella. No creo que ella entre a estos mundos. (Igual, si así lo decide, yo seré su mentor) pero ella ha sido un cambio en mi forma de ver ciertas cosas… Como la edad…

La edad es un elemento que simplemente determina la cantidad de años en los cuales nosotros como seres humanos hemos estado en este mundo. No significa que eres más viejo, o que estás más jodido, sino que simplemente adquieres más experiencia.

Entonces puede pasar el tiempo, pero lo único que cambia a veces, es nuestro cuerpo, nuestra mente, nuestro espíritu, nuestra actitud puede mantenerse intacta. Siempre es importante saber controlar como el tiempo nos esculpe, y no dejar que el tiempo nos consuma a través de las circunstancias.

En estos 13 años, yo he podido entender unas cosas, pero mi “energía” ahí sigue.

Entonces, fue al conocer a esta persona especial que me di cuenta que el tiempo aunque deja su huella, no simboliza el fin de nuestros sentires. A veces simplemente adquirimos más experiencia que podemos utilizar en el futuro.

- Qué pasará en el futuro -

Erepublik es un mundo que aunque parece estático, el tiempo va dejando su huella. No somos los mismos que estábamos aquí hace 3 años. Desde hace 10 años dicen que esto está muerto, pero yo solo veo gente por aquí. Jugando su juego. Algunos juegan a ser políticos, otros a ser soldados. Y otros se reúnen como viejos amigos por hábito. Y estoy seguro que algunos saben a lo que me refiero.

Yo tengo 28 años actualmente. Cuando llegué acá, tenía 15 años. Y ha sido un cambio fuerte. Conocí a algunos acá ya siendo adultos plenos, y ahora están en su etapa más madura en su vida.

Esto es Erepublik. Un universo que reúne a todo tipo de personas.

Of course, in this article I will talk about how these 13 years have influenced me, because although this is a game, it has a social part that somehow makes you think and can influence things later in your life.

I mean, I know people in Mexico who have children thanks to Erepublik. A human being in real life was born thanks to this game.

And how can it influence you in real life?

Well, in this article I will talk to you about 2 things: The first about what things I lived around here. The second, on what aspects did it influence a little my way of seeing things outside of Erepublik. I'm going to mix it up. Perhaps this way some can understand how it is possible that someone can continue 13 years (with some pauses) in this place.

- Yhamilitz in 3 Accounts -

For those who have known me for years, you will know very well that this is not my first account. This is my third. The reason for that is for a simple reason: Not wanting to level up. Because I have always liked to make a difference at a low level. Although we can say that the official version is that I killed my accounts for eLove. Because everything is more beautiful when there is a romantic reason behind anything.

In those times, people thought: What an exaggeration! maybe at that time they were right, but on the other hand, the divisions appeared, and I liked the idea of ​​being in lower divisions dominating the bars. My account is not the strongest in Erepublik, but in its division, it can make an important difference, so important that it influenced to help my current country obtain resources.

And how was my eLife in those 3 accounts?

Well, in the first 2 (Yhamilitz, and Yhamilitz von Innsbruck) it can be said that I experienced some similar things. (I fell in love) other very different ones. (In the second account, as I did not do anything socially remarkable) I will not make this very long, what you have to know is that in the first 2, I was in 2 different stages. I was in one in my high school days, and there I learned many things about the world. I was about 15 years old, and at that time I was at a time where my interests were forming. In the other, I was a university student studying a career that in itself, my choice has a little to do with what I experienced here. I mean, a surge of interests.

What interest began to arise? Geopolitics and culture. And of course, Erepublik greatly affected the way I see the world outside my natural space of existence (Mexico and the United States). Take into account my other interests: Soccer, Astronomy, Biology, and of course, outer space (That's why I studied physics).

But Anthropology and History, involves studying human beings, to understand them better. My other interests are something different. But hey, stop and I'll explain a little how things are here.

- The interests that Erepublik created for me -

My interests towards geography, history and anthropology were brought thanks to Erepublik. I started to use English (a language that before I was 12 years old I refused to learn because I saw it as an imposition). Thanks to this place, my curiosity towards Europe leaned precisely on the Germanic countries (mostly Austria, which caught my attention since before playing in Erepublik) and Eastern Europe. At some point I first learned about the Austrian states (which are not many, but if you tell me about those, I know where they are), and some things about countries like Croatia and Serbia. Because while, in real life, people in America know little about those countries, places like Erepublik put them in the spotlight.

Poland is a country that can be said to be known in Mexico (Well, they are Catholics, and in Mexico, Pope John Paul II was quite popular) Although in my particular case, a small country appeared in my magnifying glass thanks to Erepublik: North Macedonia, as it is officially known.

Before Erepublik, I had no idea it existed. (Well, it's a small country) Even I was born in Erepublik before the country came into being. How unknown can this country be in America?

Let me give you an example with an American country that many may ignore: El Salvador

El Salvador is a small country in America, which in itself is a country that is not well known in this hemisphere. But there is a detail. In Mexico we know them very well, more than anything for some things related to migration and because in soccer they have the heaviest localities in the CONCACAF qualifiers. (Believe me, I know what I'm telling you) However, that country also has a lot of migration in the United States. We are talking about a country that has 3 times more population than North Macedonia.

El Salvador is one of those countries that only the people who live with them can locate it. Its tortillas are thicker than Mexican tortillas, they use the dollar, and it is also known as "El Pulgarcito de América". They only have 2 seasons (Rainy and Dry) plus many of their houses have tin roofs because tremors are common there.

Demographically they have an ethnic composition similar to that of Mexico. People speak Spanish but use the voseo (as in Argentina). Religiously, it is one of the countries with the highest percentage of Protestants in America and in the world. It is a small country, but it has its characteristics. Its things that make it unique. And just as I know some things about them, that's how I learned about North Macedonia.

And boy, do I remember how he was born. A country that was born with much controversy. All because of a matter of name. (An issue that I do not want to bring up here, but it is a reference to how these things began to influence my way of seeing things) And here I learned some things: In Eastern Europe, there are many things that many people in Latin America overlook, but at the same time, it is part of our context. That region is different, and at the same time, similar to us Latin Americans, and I speak in many aspects. So many things that in my experience, it is easier to understand life situations with the people there than with our rich neighbors.

But in the matter of rivalries, that's when I started to see that there are things that just go further. And this is when I learned the value of history for these peoples, as well as the value of their identity as a nation, which later shaped my interest in anthropology.

Now why North Macedonia?

In the game, I had tried to integrate myself into Bulgaria (Well, those were my crazy years), but the language was a big barrier. Of course, the citizens told me that it is one of the oldest countries in Europe. (I mean, I've always been learning something from each country) but that specific country, which was born within the controversy, apparently became a very strong community. And there were very influential groups. I'm talking about Dark Side Wolves.

And there guys, something very important began in my stay in Erepublik.

I will tell you something curious. I don't know how to say "Hello, how are you?" in French (The second most popular foreign language in Mexico) But I know how to say the same thing in Macedonian: Zdravo, Kako si? (Здраво како си?) (To be fair, I'm a little afraid of French, that's why it's hard for me to relate the written language to the phonetic language)

I mean, it may be a detail of little importance for many, but broadly speaking, these types of interactions were the first times where I began to interact with people who were not from my "normal" environments. And there I began to discover a culture different from mine that was completely unknown.

Sometimes in my spare time, I hung out on IRC with the Dark Side Wolves guys. I met a player who all of a sudden, we started talking a lot. She taught me things about her country, and I told her a little about mine, which was not really unknown (Because of the novels, because as I understand it, in the last century, Mexican novels were popular in the Balkans). reading this, you know who I mean. (Especially someone I also met around those times) I learned other things that were common for them, and not for me. (Like Christmas, which is celebrated on January 7 in those places) Although one can feel proud of his country, that is not why he will be closed to experiencing and learning about other cultures. That later you discover, there are things where they are very similar despite the differences.

I also discovered Croatia and Serbia through Erepublik, and also learned a bit about countries like Hungary.

Little by little this resulted in one thing: That I decided to Study Anthropology in 2013. At that time, I was still playing in Erepublik, but I was also studying that. (That more than anything when I used my “Yhamilitz von Innsbruck” account) At that time, my stay in Erepublik was quiet, (because I was reading many pages of books that we had to read) But there I started to write in a more relaxed way.

Yes, I know, these are things that some did not imagine. You may wonder how something like this can influence people.

I only know one thing: In my generation, we have the Internet, which is a door to the world. And although the Internet cannot replace our lifetime experiences, I am sure that more than one person here, had it not been for the Internet, would not have had a particular experience in their lives.

In my case, it was something more like a teenager: You know something new, and you are attracted to the exotic. I have to mention that I started to get interested in meeting women from those places (which the truth is impossible, because they hardly exist here) because, well, the unknown can be something that feeds your capacity for wonder. Without the capacity for wonder, our lives lose their light. And dare I say it maintains your youthful spirit. It's like routine. If you never break it, you can despair.

Knowing an entire country, and discovering its people keeps your brain active. I don't know about you, but when you travel, sometimes time slows down a lot. And you really enjoy that time. Well, this is a bit similar.

And of course, you can define a future, because you follow your path based on your interests.

- Old and new people -

In the social part for these 12 years, I will make 2 distinctions: With 2 accounts of mine: My first and my last account: I will not talk much about my first account, but here is something relevant that I need to explain. In the first account, most of those I knew are no more. But those that still exist, the vast majority are from the Austrian community. In this account, although I am in Austria, I met up with old acquaintances, and I met many people. Others are simply no longer with us. It is important to mention: The vast majority of Mexicans I know today, I met on this account, not on the previous one (I know some, but most I did not know)

It is somewhat difficult to keep track of what people's lives were like 10 years ago, because it is not as if I am interested in knowing about people's private lives, but simply one discovers that people are no longer the same, neither is oneself. it is. We all evolve. And our character in Erepublik too. Some are into 2-clickers, but about 5 or 6 years ago they were involved here. Simply their pace and lifestyle is different. Before, many were just students, and now they already work and have families.

There is a historical player that I remember very well, and who is still active today: Romper (from Croatia) That player is there. But his activities in Erepublik are different. Because maybe just like me, our lives evolve. The girl from North Macedonia has also changed. We all do.

As the years go by, we all find our meaning in life. This is how this works...

Also along the way, you meet new people. In Austria, in South America, and in Mexico I have met people. Some are old acquaintances, and others I have known for no more than 3 years. It is from my eyes that I was able to observe the type of people who are here. Those who were now are no longer.

I have close friends here, some from Mexico, others in Austria, and some in some additional country in this game.

- Beyond Erepublik, in the real world -

There is no greater reason to do things when you find the person who motivates you to do so. If any of you have followed some of my latest posts, you will remember that I told you about a special girl.

Although her progress with her has been slow (but sure) I have to mention that I already talked a little about this world to her. I don't think she will enter into this world. Age is an element that simply determines the number of years in which we as human beings have been in this world. It doesn't mean you're older, or more screwed up, it just means you get more experience.

Then time can pass, but the only thing that changes sometimes is our body, our mind, our spirit, our attitude can remain intact. It is always important to know how to control how time sculpts us, and not let time consume us through circumstances.

In these 13 years, I have been able to understand some things, but my "energy" is still there.

So, it was when I met this special person that I realized that although time leaves its mark, it does not symbolize the end of our feelings. Sometimes we simply gain more experience that we can use in the future.

Erepublik is a world that although it seems static, time is leaving its mark. We are not the same as we were here 3 years ago. They have been saying for 10 years that this is dead, but I only see people around here. Playing his game. Some play at being politicians, others at being soldiers. And others meet as old friends out of habit. And I'm sure some of you know what I mean.

I am currently 28 years old. When I got here, I was 15 years old. And it has been a strong change. I met some of them here when they were already full adults, and now they are in their most mature stage in their lives.
