Florida has been historically a battleground state, particularly in elections in real life. Now, Florida will once again become a battleground state that may in fact determine the fate of this war in eRepublik. Currently the wall stands at roughly 1,386,750 points. By most standards in this game this wall would be considered and impenetrable fortress by anyone, unfortunately these are not ordinary times. 1,386,750 points stands as the dividing line drawn between all nations of the world that value freedom and a “billionaire” Russian oligarchic who fashions himself an emperor. He has no gaming skill and by reading his articles is not much in terms of social skills either. This “emperor” has one advantage that most players have that others do not…..deep pockets.

During my tenure in this game I have seen some particularly interesting things occur. I have seen the United States succeed and fail. I have seen Indonesia been pushed back by the once powerful Romanian war machine. I have seen ATLANTIS stand strong and I have seen ATLANTIS dissolve. I saw Indonesia almost PTO’ed and the once oppressed nations of Greece and Israel freed to grow strong and determine their own destiny. Recently I saw the eUSA pushed to the brink and reduced to one state, only to come roaring back and to reclaim its territories only to lose some of them again. Finally, I have seen something I never thought I would ever see…. PEACE has officially sold out. Now, don’t get me wrong, PEACE has always been filled with less than savory characters and as much as they might protest and claim to be a “defensive alliance”, they are basically rampant imperialists. All of this said they were once a coalition that believed in something, which was basically shitting on everyone that disagreed with them. As much as I disagreed with them, for them it was never about the gold. Now, the mighty Indonesian and Hungarian Empires serve as the shoeshine boys for the Russian “billionaire/emperor”. Too afraid to say anything they graciously fight at his beck and call and quietly despise and fear the influence his money has over the game.

So here we are in a brave new world. PEACE is officially dead and serves as the errand boys for a mad grocery clerk (Thank you Colonel Kurtz). Former ATLANTIS nations are reforming under the banner of EDEN and we make a stand in Florida. 1,386,750 points stands between oligarchy and freedom, insanity and wisdom…victory and defeat. Regardless of the outcome, this can be sai😛 A proud few stood against the oppressive many and the fate of the world was determined by 1,386,750 points. What are you prepared to do?
