ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - Gentlemen, it's quite obvious that the next problem that we must face is our economy. It's all over the media this week, and every congressman who has paid attention to Pakistan at all knows that something must be done. Fruitcommando, for one, has taken initiative and made fast tax proposals. However, you have to think this through before proposing whatever comes to you while in the shower.

And yes, this is going to be another boring political article. If you make it to the bottom, you'll find a gift for bearing with me.

Now then, the first thing you have to know about our economy: nothing short of a population boom will fix our economy overnight. All of our problems stem from our low population and activity. Taxing the hell out of importers isn't going to fix things unless we strengthen our domestic market to the point that we're not only self-sufficient, but self-sufficient with higher wages and more jobs.

I've been doing my part as president to keep this game interesting, and in that regard I think I've been successful. Nobody has quit recently, and things are far from stagnant in the sands. The Captain Sam trial has even brought a few /v/irgins back to contribute to the case. I'm mixing things up with training wars, which will invigorate our weapons and iron markets, but this still isn't enough.

The first thing we need, what we need right the fuck now, is an economic infrastructure supported by both parties. The Pakistani Space Program, as well as Silph Co, are maintained entirely by Vento Aureo. The companies managed by members of Pro Pakistani are managed individually, but under the oversight of pak_land. In other words, Pakistan's economy is divided amongst our parties and the government only has power over the companies in its party's control. It's possible to have the companies overseen by the government with the involvement of both parties, but this would be highly intrusive for the managers of Pro Pakistani as well as initially unsupported by Vento Aureo's funding. Yeah, it's going to be tough, but we have to do it.

After we get managers from both sides of the political spectrum working together, we're going to need to set aside money for new citizens. I recommend that this amount be somewhere near 10,000 PKR. This money will be divided four ways: 4,000 PKR in the treasury, and 6,000 PKR in a new organization for training new citizens. The 6,000 PKR will be divided amongst a land company, a manufacturing company, and a constructions company, and the wages shall be the minimum wage. These companies are to be run by the state, and it shall have about 30 jobs in each company, regardless of maximum productivity. Every employee is to be checked. During times of suspected political takeover, all of these open jobs are to be retracted to weaken the sewers of discord.

After we get these two essential steps under our belt, that's where the taxes come in. By now, we should have a more stable economy that is officially stabilized. Since increasing the amount of jobs tends to increase inflation, we must calculate the right amount of taxation to the point where PKR isn't generated for the sole purpose of paying the state, yet still enough to maintain our government initiatives and our treasury.

Since all three of these steps won't be completed by the time my term is over, I will be running for a second term as president to see these goals through to their fruition. I initially didn't plan on running (and instead passing the torch to pak_land), but this will be one hell of an undertaking, and albeit pak_land being an excellent man for the job, he might not be online as often as I am to see to urgent matters. Regardless of online times, I want him to run alongside me in the event that something terrible were to happen, both as vice president of Pakistan and as a presidential candidate.

Oh, and the gift I mentioned? We'll be holding a training war with Iran at 12:00 eRepublik time. Be ready!
