America's relationship with Dioism isn't so far removed from it's relationship with Christianity, which is to say the broad cultural conception revolves around portions which are functionally useful to the State/Industrial apparatus before all other concerns. Those bits that are not particularly useful are kept around and occasionally deployed, again according to the utility of the Industrial-State's function. Those portions which run-afoul the needs of the Industrial-State must be managed and mitigated, if alteration is not possible.

Do you know what it means to take the Divine name in vain?

It is the act of invoking the creator as witness; the vanity of presuming to know the creator's plan for another and to speak as if one's voice echo's the creator's judgment. The vanity of speaking the name to provide character reference. Politicians blaspheme when they profane the name for their purposes, regardless of how "good" they believe their purposes to be. Busy-body Christians violate it often in spirit, if not in word, in their passive-aggressive utterance that 'I'll pray for you.' At best, this means you believe the creator should have some use of you as a character reference? Occasionally they will drop all pretense and just start speaking for them directly.

This is just run-of-the-mill hypocrisy, in a way but.. if you take your faith seriously 'just run of the mill hypocrisy' is kind of a problem. Graven images are forbidden, as well ,for reasons not distantly related.

Fundamentally, the text recognizes that it is easy for people acting in bad faith or their own interests to apply symbolic identifiers and benefit from the trust of the faithful without needing to deeply understand anything about it. It is easy to take on the affect of a devotee, but the disciple and student of the word should know better. They should know any, who are eager to speak of the creator and eager for you to support them, know not of what they speak and that their word is useless. That they value the 'good' of what they can accomplish, by endorsing one's self as divine, over the mandate to keep pure the faith.



I have heard him claim Dio many times and always with plenty of witnesses, but this rings untrue to me. In fact, most of America's relationship with Dio is lipservice. America does not seem to have been ever interested in his great vision of winning the unwinnable game.

The example of Dio Brando is a fundamentalist/missionary faith with the words 'Jihad' upon its lips and supported by Socialist economics.

So, knowing how firmly principled a fellow CG is, I have always had a difficult time accepting that he could be serious. But, perhaps I am just old and he does identify as a Socialist or embrace Socialism when... it's doing good for him? Maybe he is alright with identifying as a Muslim warrior smiting infidels. That is all fine. But... if you would take up his cause, I must wonder... What do you to glorify? To unify?

It is the Capitalist machine, which demands every act we do be comodifiable and profitable, that corrupted, eroded and consumed this world.

Dio recognized quite a brilliant thing, actually. Something I am only now coming to recognize. Socialism cannot be sold clinically. The sound of benefiting others is, in the abstract, something the uncritical mind will reject out of hand. Attempt to explain, intellectually, and you will encounter a sea of grasping rationalizations. It is inexpensive to doubt and emotionally appealing to keep doubt external.

The core of Socialist interest is a moral imperative to assure people are provided for. See, it turns out we already have a method of communicating subtle moral philosophy in terms that are accessible. Parables. Stories. Epics. Narrative. This is how we have communicated virtue among those without specific education in ethical philosophy.

The story of Dio Brando is the story of Capitalism refusing to obey its own rules in order to stop the average person from breaking the game the Capitalists are playing.

Why bellyache about our occupied territory?
That is no longer your game to concern yourself with either.
If you really cared that much, you would operate a bot farm.
If the people in charge really cared that much, they'd run a bigger bot farm.

It is about time we all realize the truth that has been staring us in the face, this whole time.

America should Burn.
It is good that this edifice collapses.
It is right that we take up arms against such tyrants.
Nothing so bad could come from this.
Take up arms.
Wield them with glory.
Burn the White House.
Drop your knees into the sand.
Die a glorious death.

From all corners of the Earth,

we shall carry his sands.

Let no Patriot of their countrymen brook this indignity.
Let no Faithful servant walk past their plight, without casting a stone upon the Capitalist oppressors.
