[WRP] - A view from Parliament - Issue 10

Day 1,866, 11:04 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Huey George

Preamble

Since article 9 of the “A view from Parliament” series we’ve had 5 new alliance law proposals. I’ll also update one alliance proposal that was still up for the vote.

Law proposals

The one outstanding law proposal was;

President of Serbia proposed a mutual protection pact with United Kingdom

I voted YES, This was because Serbia is a powerful and helpful ally. We are in the “TWO” alliance together. Our existing MPP with Serbia allows our citizens opportunities at times to fight in their wars to gain experience whilst supporting allies and improving our new world reputation.

The vote ended
31 YES votes to 1 NO votes in the UK
37 YES votes to 0 NO votes in Serbia

Four completed law proposal are;

First was;

President of United Kingdom proposed a mutual protection pact with Chile

I voted YES, Chile is a stout, valuable ally and in the past has aided us greatly in our battles. The MPP with Chile also allows our citizens opportunities at times to fight in their wars to gain experience. Therefore I could think of no reason not to continue our MPP with Chile.

The vote ended
32 YES votes to 2 NO votes in the UK
30 YES votes to 2 NO votes in Chile

The next was;

President of Lithuania proposed a mutual protection pact with United Kingdom

I voted YES, Lithuania is dedicated and great ally to have. Again like Chile, Lithuania has aided us greatly in our battles. The MPP with Lithuania also allows our citizens opportunities at times to fight in their wars to gain experience. Therefore again I could think of no reason not to continue our MMP with Lithuania.

The vote ended
32 YES votes to 3 NO votes in the UK
34 YES votes to 1 NO vote in Lithuania

The law proposal which followed was;

President of Macedonia proposed a mutual protection pact with United Kingdom

I voted YES, Macedonia is a powerful and useful ally to have. Again like Chile and Lithuania, Macedonia has aided us greatly in our battles. The MPP with Macedonia also allows our citizens opportunities at times to fight in their wars to gain experience. Therefore again I could think of no reason not to continue our MMP with Macedonia.

The vote ended
37 YES votes to 1 NO vote in the UK
37 YES votes to 2 NO votes in Macedonia

The final completed law proposal was(of the time of writing this article);

President of United Kingdom proposed a mutual protection pact with Lithuania

So good it came to Congress twice…I voted YES again for the same reasons I’ve stated above.

The vote ended
33 YES votes to 3 NO votes in the UK
29 YES votes to 2 NO votes in Lithuania

One currently outstanding law proposal is

President of Brazil proposed a mutual protection pact with United Kingdom

I already voted YES. Brazil is a great ally for the UK to have. Again like the allies above Brazil has aided us greatly in our battles. The MPP with Brazil allows our citizens opportunities at times to fight in their wars to gain experience. Therefore again I could think of no reason not to continue our MPP with Brazil.

The current vote stands as of (09:50 Day 1,866 of the New World)
12 YES votes to 1 NO vote in the UK
17 YES votes to 1 NO vote in Brazil

As always I welcome the view of my constituents. Please feel free to comment or personal message me.

Closing thoughts

This has ended up being a fairly quick update on a handful of law proposals, all important MPP, however fairly routine. However I feel this month has the potential to be a very interesting and productive Congress(Parliament) so future editions of "A view from Parliament" will contain more content.

I'd like to end on the fact that I've seen a few congressional updates from my fellow members of Congress(Parliament). This is great to see.

If you've not read them already, I'd highly recommend them and here they are;
