With an ever present danger of a rogue candidate taking one of the top five's Party Presidency (PP), your vote is ever important. Strong turnouts displays our nation's vigor, our continued involvement in the security and prosperity of our fine nation. The danger of poor turnouts, enhances the possibility of a rogue PP running unsympathetic players for congress,who might accept bribes to grant citizenship or merely allow in players whose goals would be to undermine our present agreeable security arrangements. And important point to remember, if a rogue PP were to be elected, one solution, which has been used successfully in the past is merely to increase the membership in a none top five party to replace the rogue's party in the top 5, Vote, for the security of your party and your nation.

The reason we leave the gold in the country treasury is twofol😛

1) There are some expenses that are related to gold in terms of war and country administration.
2) There is no way to deposit gold into the Treasury. Once we take it out, there is no way to put it back in.

Traditionally, Congress has made the conscious decision to retain our gold in the treasury as we still have other means to generate CC, but not gold. On top of it being irreplaceable, we would also only realize about 40% of its current value. At some point, if/when gold approaches 200cc again, it might make more sense. Maybe not in terms actual seigniorage, but at least less of a loss.

The reason the number is as large as it is relates to the US placing well in some contests put on by Plato a while back where the rewards were defensive shields and gold and possibly some other country-related things
(I can't remember) as well as rewards for top-performing MUs.
