The eUnited States Acceded to Apollo!

After intense diplomatic efforts USA was invited to join Apollo, the accession was confirmed by a near unanimous vote of Congress. The eUS is joining Moldova, Colombia, Paraguay and the Ukraine in Asteria's associate alliance. This is an unprecedented diplomatic move, bringing the eUS closer to Asteria than it has ever been, a stated goal of the Cthulhu Administration.

The Presidential Debate

Tomorrow we'll elect the President of the United States for the month of December. The elected president will have to navigate the unchartered waters of our new alliance while balancing political pressures from within. We gathered the two leading candidates and asked them some questions.


1. What went according to plan in your current CP term and what could have gone better?

Someone leaked my dumba** agenda on the first night, so that happened. I got to start and continue the month wondering who shared it with Groot, and whether I can trust everyone for the month. Interestingly enough though, the leaked agenda had the same effect or even a better one that I had intended. namely, everyone knew exactly where my month was headed. There were zero questions about where my direction would take us this month, and we successfully entered Apollo. Mission Accomplished. I look like a fool, but we all play this game; so the jokes on all of us, right?

2. Your opponent CG talks about the need for superior organization and coordination when it comes to military efforts. Do you agree with this criticism?

I completely agree that we need superior organization and coordination in our military efforts. Whether the criticism is fairly lain at the feet of our administration will remain to be seen. We are still seeing the effects of all the event boosters play out all over the battlefields. But all the Training Wars we are maintaining is a group effort in the administration. We all actively keep the battle orders updated, and monitor battle walls to ensure the rotational and ping-ping wars are handled appropriately. Some countries fall asleep at the button, which means they do not attack the correct region and move around a bit. But, our allies are overall pleased with our efforts, the citizens are farming Freedom Fighter and True Patriot medals. The effects of the training wars are being realized by all parties, and everyone is winning. The eUS and her allies are enjoying the benefits of the largest playground in erepublik. And, we'll all keep enjoying them after this term or my next one ends.

3. How do you plan to ameliorate the internal divide in the eUS?

We opened a candid discussion in private Congress about the future of the eUS, and our foreign affairs policy. This discussion allowed everyone to ask their questions about the direction the eUS is headed. We then pulled it into an in-game message with all congressmen and women, so that anyone that does not frequent the forums could be involved; and it really seemed to help. If we can all see where we were one, two, three years ago; and how we got there; we can all make an educated plan on how to proceed. The process of directing our infuence will be a slow one, as some people do not wish to fight against recent allies such as France. The easiest way to help all of to move on is to find a common target or enemy. Who's your money on?

4. Both you and your opponent present very similar views on Foreign policy, what will you do different, in this field and in general?

Our administration includes everyone from every point of view and political party in the eUS. We will continue to build trust among all factions in the eUS and remind all of us that the eUS's future is what is important: our long-term outlook. We will work our butts off to give the eUS an active role in the alliance strategy and coordination. We will work with Congress on the forums to spend some of this enormous treasury to help our citizens rank up their air damage, which is our greatest asset as a nation currently. We will continue to build bridges with allies to secure our place as a preiminent leader in the eWorld.

On the 5th when you are deciding whom to vote for, I ask you to simply ask: who is the best candidate for the eUS's future and image in the eWorld? And whom do you trust to lead us into that future? I hope you agree that I have the dedication, maturation, and capability to help guide us into that future.


1. How do you see the current administration, what is it doing well, and what can be improved

The current administration has tried to be active but due to a lack of knowledge, has suffered military failures in Turkey which have been embarrassing for the nation. Joining Apollo is a good win for Minister of Defense, RT, though.

2. You seem to invoke strong emotions with constituents, both ways, what do you want to say to those who are worried by a CG administration?

I've led you before as a CP for all Americans and I'll do it again. Most of my opponents are from the time I was young and impressionable. I'm older now and have been able to govern for all Americans before and deliver wins, repeatedly.

3. Your platform emphasizes the military/FA aspect of the game, what are your internal policy ideas?

I intend to work closely with Congress to ensure that our citizens have the resources they need to rank up and be stronger, both aerially and in ground.

4. Both you and your opponent present very similar views on Foreign policy, what will you do different, in this field and in general?

The current FA trajectory set by WTP has served the nation well. However, I have strong personal relationships with people which I intend to utilize to promote US interests internationally.
