It's this time of the month again, where you must vote for a new president to lead eCanada, and help it advance and develop.
It's the time where every eCanadian citizen, at home or abroad, must cast his vote which I guarantee will have a dramatic impact on this month's elections.

We are now assisting to the last Presidential elections of 2009.
These elections will be special. First, we have the new "Goals" feature implemented a few days ago by eRepublik admins. We also have 3 e😜residents of eCanada running again for an additional term.

So who are the candidates for this month?
- Jacobi, e😜resident of eCanada, June 5 2009 - October 5 2009, running on the behalf of the Canadian Social Democrats, the Canadian National Coalition, the Canadian Paradox Party, and the Adult Party. Goals: Increase Population by 3% | Increase GDP by 3% | Keep Current Regions
- Banach, e😜resident of eCanada, October 5 2008 - October 16 2008 (Impeached after quitting game with launching of eRepublik V1), running on the behalf of the revived Canadian Progressive Front. Goals: Increase Population by 3% | Increase GDP by 3% | Keep Current Regions
- Bruck, e😜resident of eCanada, March 5 2009 - June 5 2009, running on the behalf of the Canadian Advancement Party. No Goals. (However, according to Bruck's Shouts: &quot😉amn you eRep! Where did my campaign goals go? Now how will everyone know my plans to take Alaska?" - seriousness of shout not confirmed yet - will keep you updated)
- Derek Harland, deputy prime minister of eCanada, October 5 2009 - December 5 2009, running on the behalf of the Democratic Action League, and the Libertarian Socialist Council. Goals: Increase Population by 3% | Increase GDP by 3% | Keep Current Regions
- Dominik, eCanadian citizen, currently inactive and 2-clicker, running on the behalf of the Coalition of Homicidial Anarchists and Organized Sociopaths (C.H.A.O.S.) No Goals

5 Long-time eCanadians, each with a long list of achievements in his personal accounts, but who to vote for?
I can tell you, this is not an easy choice to make. For the first time in my eRepublik life, I had to think for over 1/2 on who to vote for. I had to read again each candidate's platform, and compare them side by side.
To help you in your choice, here are links to each candidate's newspaper, where you can check his platform, and proposed cabinet:

- Jacobi: The Merchantman (WGC Member)
- Banach: The Ottawa Guardian II (Former WGC Member - Successor of the Ottawa Guardian, now owned by nea milosu a.k.a Fram)
- Derek Harlan😛 The Alternate View
- Bruck: Brucks News
- Dominik: Slavia (Former WGC Member)

I urge you all to think before voting, read each candidate's platform and vote for who you think should lead eCanada towards the year 2010.

As for the elections coverage, here's an update on the current elections results (As you already know, QNBC will provide live coverage of events - +IRC coverage hopefully - and frequent updates).
