Hello eUS and welcome to the first article in the USWPride Legacy mini-series. As one of the eUS's oldest and paramount of parties, the history of the USWP is closely intertwined with the destiny of this e-nation. This series will explore its legacy, while also focusing on the players which made and still make it tick. So without further ado, our first protagonist: Animis

Our story begins on November 2010: the RL USA is still dealing with recession, the game is still new and vibrant, the greatest danger to the eUS is the Phoenix Alliance and the USWP is in its prime, having just absorbed the American Advancement Party (AAP) of which Animis is a member.

The road to Congress was much longer 10 years ago, and Animis was primarily utilized as a blocker in the complex regional elections system which existed then. Her breakthrough originated in a dark IRC room.

"One night, very late, like 4am eastern I was quietly lurking on IRC, and this chick was in some room chatting away in Serbian, it is one or two days from a big election in which I am supposed to be a blocker and the guy is supposed to win, ATO/PTO was big in those days and Serbia was a major part of Phoenix, our primary enemy. I dug through months of articles in English on the part of both, and put it together that they were slowly working on a PTO plan" (Animis)

And bam, through the mayhem caused by this revelation, Animis got the Iowa Congressional Seat and joined a USWP caucus at its zenith. This event coincided with another important event, the eUS forum was lost, and with it the eUS constitution, the heart of its meta-game, community and depth. It was at this point in time, that Animis was privileged to join USWP titans in spearheading the efforts to rebuild.

"USWP was at an all-time high in popularity and skill, Evan Feinman, SGGHays and many others were clear headed, calm and focused on getting the work done. Animis testifies that this era saw the peak of her activity, completely immersed in the game, since then she's been through a lot and seen a lot, held numerous party positions including the presidency, but mainly focused on defending and maintaining what she saw as the USWP ideal.

And with her rugged, blunt and no nonsense straight forward style, we'll conclude our first chapter:

We are a drama free party and I am VERY proud of that. We are not role players with all sorts of agendas and weirdness. We are a party of actual people with real lives, kids & jobs and stuff. We talk, and we are honest with each other. We are steady, technical and, like always, play the long game. This has always been the heart of USWP. This is why CPs come from USWP, What I described is real leadership. When they called us oldfags or elites, trying to insult us, we said...... basically nothing, we really don't care or listen.
