[USA edition] eUK - The descent into a failed state; some perspective is needed

So, just when eUK thought things couldn't get much worse following the loss of Scotland to Hungary in a ridiculous war game, the nations of North America simultaneously impose an economic embargo.

Anger in eUSA against eUK is strong right now. Once allies, shouts of traitors can be heard regularly against eUK and vice versa. The demise of ATLANTIS has undoubtedly hit many former members hard, the USA particularly. eUK's decision to go "neutral" has certainly raised eyebrows abroad. The official White House brief illustrates the resentment felt in the States.

"We had been with negotiations with eUK in the past about being a key member in the Fortis alliance. After much debate, we had finally agreed to meet eUK’s demands last week in alliance negotiations, but they still rejected us even after we agreed to their terms. The eUK has continued to persist with unreasonable protectionist import taxes that make it impossible for its allies to trade with them in any finished goods, while we have opened our markets to them. In addition, eUK has been negotiating with nations such as Hungary, which has resulted in PEACE GC’s increased fronts against North America which has led to the attacks which have started this war...The nations of North America are sending a strong message to eUK. While we are disappointed with the recent choices made by eUK, if they wish to remain a neutral country rather than open its allies to attack from PEACE GC in the future, we will respect that and hope we will be able to restore better relations with eUK in the future. It is up to eUK and its citizens who elect their officials to decide how important they believe a transatlantic relationship will be and how they choose to show their friendship in the future."

Meanwhile, notable American politician Emerick notes:

"...this isn't an act of aggression. Rather, it's a declaration of acceptance of the UK's new stance. Our free trade is meant as a benefit for our allies."

Naturally, emotions are running high in eUK too. Citizens from all over the country are detailing their hate and anger at eUSA, with shouts of “WAR” increasing by the day, whilst others declare with a stiff upper lip that “we don’t need them anyway – they need us”.

Really? Let’s get some perspective into this

Rankings
GDP – USA #3, UK #12
EXP – USA #3, UK #9
Number of Companies – USA #2, UK #11
Exports – USA #9, UK #15
Imports – USA #25, UK #18

Put blankly, the USA does NOT need "us" at all, and there is no way any war could be sustained; eUK couldn’t even support a war in France when it was at its peak. Analysts and commentators have seen this demise and breakdown in relations coming for a long time, and everytime eUK ignores them and continues down its path of recklessness.

eUK should be begging for forgiveness and meeting eUSA’s demands, not vice versa.

These are tough realities, and it will take a true man, a strong nation to face them. Only once the mistakes have been realised, can they be solved, and the once great nation of eUK can be built again.
