[US/SA] South Africa, the pleasure is all ours

Day 905, 17:23 Published in South Africa USA by Harrison Richardson
South Africans, today your country has come to the end of the long road that we call liberation The battle for Limpopo marked a turning point in the affairs of non-European Erepublik war. PHOENIX has been reduced to two of nine titanium regions in the e-World. Ever since the Admin Team revealed their plans for v2, and second-tier Diamond regions were destined to become uber-first-tier Titanium regions, South Africa and other Titanium-bound countries have been under siege. I have seen this story before. South Africa has, quite literally, been under siege for over two years. I remember back to when I first began playing, way back in May of 2008. I was a young newb at the time and I had no idea what I was doing; luckily, I had some pretty good mentors. Benn Dover got me set up right away and, before I knew it, I was in South Africa fighting against Indonesia in the original Indonesian invasion. I fought, and died, against the famous Indonesian old guard of tanks that any Beta or early v1 player remembers. Unlike some of my countrymen at the time, I was happy to put my life in the line for this new country; I saw it as a fairly regular act of patriotism for someone who was on our side against someone who wasn't. Little did I know that, two years later, this country and the United States would share an even closer bond.

I stand here today as a proud leader in the final process of a long, arduous movement to free South Africa. I cannot take most of the credit. I am merely the beneficiary of what has been months of planning and patience on both sides, South Africans and the Allied Forces, to free this war stricken country. South African leaders have been tremendous in understanding that liberation is not a quick process. Their support has made it infinitely easier to plan and carry out this drawn out war. For example: President mulderpf was online at the end of the battle for Lion King. As Supreme Commander Avec called off the tanks prepared to hit Lion King, Gen. NXNW (Chairman of the Joint Chiefs) approached me with an idea. With the tanks already funded and ready to go, Limpopo looked like an easy battle to hit. We had mere minutes to decide. It was 23:52. I had set an alarm to wake up at 2:30 AM to watch what I thought would be the end of an epic battle for Lion King. Instead, within two minutes, we found the South African President and, with the US supplying the 580 gold to open the battle, American forces rolled in with South African reinforcements and took the Limpopo wall down to nearly underground in less than 5 minutes. It was an impressive show of force and an even more impressive show of communication between two countries who continue to be staunch allies.

A few stats for you:

The United States once again led the way, doing just under 35% of the total damage inflicted in the Allied side of the battle. Croatia, Canada, and Spain (along with South Africa, obviously) chipped in generous amounts of damage. With PHX more or less leaving Argentina out to dry, the US equipped our tanks with gold and weapons and sent them on their merry way to easily conquer the valuable region. This was an impressive display of EDEN might, as EDEN mobile forces outclassed the worn-out PHX forces.

Overall, Allied Forces and PHX used about the same amount of wellness boxes. The vast majority of those came from the US and Argentina. However, the American tanks proved superior to Argentina's, as the damage/hit statistics show.

South Africa, I'm glad to call you an ally. Not just an ally, but the ally. We possess no countries whom I value you more than you. That's a pretty high pedestal to be placed on, right up there with Canada and a few others (and they know who they are) :3.
