Elections, Presidency, and Political System in the United Netherlands...

Dear fellows citizens of the United Netherlands,

Five days ago, you have decided to elected me as your new President.
I really thanks you for the trust and the confidence you have in my person.

In July, you were 73 to vote for me (27,44% - elected).
In August, you were 163 to vote for me (62,69% - elected).
In September, you were 228 to vote for me (55,29% - elected).
In November, you were 138 to vote for me (36,13% - not elected - President by impeachment).
In December, you were 259 to vote for me (77,54% - elected).

It's not the first time that you decided to choose me, and it's for me a real sign of encouragement !

For the first time, i had to choose some national goals for my campaign.
I choose a society goal, a economy goal, and a military one.

I have decided to give our nation some objectives, some high objectives for this month :
- to have a 8% increase of our population, which is not possible without a ebabyboom
- to have a 3% increase of our GDP (read the excellent article of our former Minister of Finance, Boklevski : National goals : GDP)
- to keep all our current regions (Eastern Netherlands,Northern Netherlands, Southern Netherlands, Western Netherlands, and Wallonia -the risk of an attack is still present-).

In our country, we have a very particular organisation of our society and it will be difficult for me as President to achieve these goals. What does I mean ?

The United Netherlands is a kind of "parliamentary monarchy", and is not really a republic, which is quite original for a game called eRepublik...

In almost all others countries, the President is the head of the State, and have to formed his own cabinet, which will lead the country during one month, and the Congress have no role in the formation of the government.

In the UNL, the government is not made the 6th of each month, after the election of the President, but the 26th, after the congressionnal elections. The party president of the political party who have win the biggest number of seats is asked to form a new government, and to find some coaliton partners. The Prime Minister and the Government are indirectly choosen by the citizen (through the Congress). The President have only few powers, and is head of Army. He have to work with the chosen government and have not the possibilities to have his own cabinet.

This situation have some advantages, and some disadvantages.

We are now living for the first time a very strange situation where the President is elected under the banner of a political party (the Belgian Party), which have no ministers in the government and have to work with a government made by the parties which are in opposition with his own party in the Congress.

Does it is bad for the democracy ? I don't think so because me as President and the current government as the effective power will have to work together on several issues, and we will need to reach agreements. We can see the fact that people have chosen to elected a President from an party of the opposition as the will of having a biggest counter-power than the Congress, who have already given his confidence to the Government. It can be seen as an higher level of democracy.

It bring us new possibilities for this month, and it assures you, people of the United Netherlands in it's globality, to be represented and heard at the highest level of power of your country.

It let us also having more productive debates and it will maybe help our community to became stronger than ever !

For example, i'm working since some weeks with DanielB1989 on some difficult issues and we succeed to work together with a high rate of efficiency... It was private, and it didn't became public because the plans changed, but we even had talks to present ourselves as a team for the Presidency... No parties fights, no polemics, only working for our beloved country !

For the United Netherlands, we only want the best...
