[UKRP] The Resurgence: The Presidency, Game of Thrones, stuff

Day 1,897, 00:53 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Professor Evil

Quick note: I'm now very happy to announce I am the new UKRP Councillor, so why my twisted world view could never be applied to anything official, I like to think this gives my words more validity 🙂

The resurgence doesn't halt, it doesn't slow and it certainly doesn't pause to tie its shoelaces. It keeps right on going, bringing its charge right from the sixth to the first place in the partisan pecking order. This is an exciting time to be a UKRP member, and I'll tell you why.

Our very own 5butjam is running for CP! This is a very exciting development both for us and the eUK itself. Butjam won't run on a party platform; he's a patriot and a statesman, and wants to make his appeal cross-party and cross-differences. But having an active candidate in the party with a strong chance of victory makes me proud to be a member.

I can't endorse butjam enough. He's got tonnes of experience, great energy and has the trust and support of many prominent citizens. He's a great candidate and I'm sure he'll do fantastically.

Vote for butjam! On to item 2 of the Resurgence:

Game of Thromes is upon us! This is a novel way of in-game roleplay, friendly competition within parties and indulging personal fantasies. And not that one about the latex and ballgag, we'll talk about that one later....

The roleplay system we'll be using for the Game is complex but fun, devised to reward actions that positively affect the party and personal inventiveness. Once you've joined the party, you'll pick a house and get playing! Our current houses, with heads, are:

Lannister (thedark ace, and yours truly as Supreme War Commander!)
Arryn (Lionbeard)
Martell (Cygnus)
Tyrell (Mittekemuis)
Baratheon (Robalbinio)
Stark (Thomas765)
Tully (5butjam)

I'm in House Lannister of Casterly Rock. We're a proud House of adventurers and kingdom-builders, warriors and kings.

If you're a fan of the series (and are politically undecided) I would really use this as a reason to get involved in the UKRP. Here, you'll not only find a fun game to play, you'll find a community, good people, and good friends.

We're growing, and we're doing more for our members than ever. We have giveaways. We have fun party meetings on IRC. And our numbers are growing. Will you be our next member?
