eRepublik is both as complex as you want to make it, or as simple as you want to make it. You could take several different paths whilst still "enjoying" (and I don't say that sarcastically at all) this game, be it an involved, open approach where you mingle and discuss it with the other members and try to generally foster a good environment, or you can take a more individual approach and just do your thing.

Either way, you're typically going to require assistance, which is what we'd love to offer you. You might think "Oh GOD, NOT ANOTHER RECRUITMENT ARTICLE", but it's not really that. Bare with me here, though.

You see, the mortality rate on eRepublik sucks regardless of what party you're in. It wouldn't matter if you looked in our party, New Era, TUP, or any other, you'd probably be lucky to find a party with anywhere near 20% true activity. Someone in the comments will pull out voting numbers and whatnot and try to tell you otherwise, but they're essentially full of it. 2 out of every 10 people make it here, the other 8 typically get bored and die off. We've always been worried about that, which is why we're always focused on trying to keep our community as tight as can be. We WANT you to come onto the forums and IRC, talk to us, get to know us, and work WITH us.

The reason we want this is primarily due to the fact that this is the only way the UK is ever going to get better. If people are alive, ranking, fighting, doing stuff. Having total activity is the only true way the UK will ever become relevent beyond it's geographic location (see two articles ago, if I recall or perhaps my last one).

We're working on an idea to roll out a more newb friendly scheme that people can join en masse and get the help they need, but we want everyone to be involved. We're going to roll out our own schemes to increase our forum membership.

Oh, that's right. People forgot about them. If some people would shut up and contribute without being total idorts, you wouldn't hear such a negative connotation, but frankly, here in the UKRP we love them. The Government runs on forum posts (Ministries), Congress has an open forum without using an almost unreadable private message format that they can discuss matters openly, and our party, you know, that important thing in our hearts, can communicate freely across all time zones at all hours of the day to develop players, schemes, and this PARTY.

HEAVEN FORBID WE DO THAT.
