Join the new world

This month of my Foreign Affairs term is coming to an end so the mandatory end of term article has to be written. I can honestly say although it came with some frustration it was the best month I had since I got back. UK and the Foreign Affairs department had a purpose again.
Together with Wayne and Pauly we have gone from a total occupation by 4 Countries to a Training War by two Countries. We each used our own individual strength and resources to get where we are now.





Our Current MPP policy
Although things have changed a whole lot for the UK over the course of the month, with leaving Orion, being occupied, have to negotiate for training wars our stand in the world hasn’t changed. Previous month we had only Asterian/Orion MPPs and a few non aligned Country. Due to the wars with the USA/Colombia we had to reduce a few of our Asterian MPPs because they were in conflict with their MPP with USA. For example, we couldn’t reassign Romanian MPP because they have MPP with USA and if a Natural Enemy proposal had to be needed by USA or UK the Romanian MPP would drop.
The whole MPP and training wars situation is one of carefully planned balance. Not only do you need to take in consideration Asteria and Pacifica are for the biggest part aligned but also various Training Wars are being held and therefor don’t give an accurate picture on where their loyalties really are.
So what we did is assign the Asterian MPPs we could sign and add a few extra to ensure back-up when we needed in battles. We have invested in having more and closer relations with Bulgaria, Indonesia, Macedonia and Spain as they have been friends for a long time, they are also not in any current alliance. Add to those Germany who has been a longstanding ally and Israel because they needed help at some point. We lost France, Romania, Iran all due to USA having MPPs with them.





Training Wars
We now have two ongoing Training Wars on UK soil and a request for a Latvian one. Our position on this is that Pacifica needs to choose what they want. We can handle two but not three. At the moment not all is running smooth just yet as the agreement with Colombia came late and we now have to free regions and also start opening Resistance Wars to make sure they have regions to attack. The same goes for USA really, with a missing in an auto attack we had to win a direct war to prevent them from taking to wrong region so we could attack them and lose that battle to return initiative.

UK will have to check in more on their battles and certainly on when to support Resistance Wars. At the moment we are having a hard time opening them at a decent time frame. I guess this had something to do with players supporting failed Resistance wars getting penalized.
Our last days in office is spend on finding a group of people who can be called upon to realise a speedy support on Resistance Wars.





On a final note for this month I like to say that certain Countries really stood out in aiding UK when we needed it. It is also safe to say we have grown closer to those Countries and will be there for them, when they need it.

- Canada who always have been frenemies came through for us and we would sign MPP with them were is not that they have conflicting MPPs due to their arrangement with Serbia and MPP with USA also TW with The Netherlands.

- Belgium because they were ever so present in the BH list even when they are tiny they're close to our hearts.

- Bulgaria who were absolutely smashing in our attempted to free a region from Colombia

- Macedonia for the same reason

- Indonesia we always had good relations with but got a bit on a low for no apparent reason. They have come together to free themselves from USA during the event and were a big help during our battles.

- Serbia has always stood by our side as well as Lithuania.

- With the dividend in France at the moment and with leaving Orion ourselves it is a little harder to maintain better relations. That and due to their USA MPP we are drifting apart a little bit. But when we asked their help the Government was always willing to give it.

- Same for Cuba, our communication is not optimal at the moment due to leaving Orion but they are still always there to help out when they can and vice versa.

- Our relations with Romania have been quieted a bit ever since we attacked -
Latvia in aid of Belgium at a really bad time for Asteria. We are now working on restoring the bonds we had and I am confident that it will be alright.





Leaves me to say, I had a blast this month and it was a pleasure to serve the UK.
