That's not specially easy to write an article just after the Northern Ireland battle
At least : I tried
Before begin to write my speech : I would like to thank every supplier like Mittekemuis, Justice Boomticket, Betafoxtrot, Elle Roslin, Jamesw, ... (and sorry if I forget some) without forgetting ONE for their huge help
That's not all : I would like to thank every UK citizens who made their best to defend Northern Ireland.
Of course, we have allies. They made a good job, I thank our Serbians, Macedonians, Poles, Hungarians, Spanishs, Swedes, Slovenians, Indonesians, Iranians, Slovakians, Belgians Friends ... and every country that I have not mentionned who fought with United Kingdom (with a special mention to Pablinho)
Even if we lost, Nobody can say that I made nothing for the country. As country president, I made my best to defend United Kingdom. Also, It is not a shamefull defeat. If we made nothing to try to win and losing 8-0 : We could say that it was a shamefull one, but it wasn't the case.
At least, we showed that we were united to defend our country. Army and Military hands in hands with a good coordination. On the same time : we have 7 soldiers (8 if I had Metalmicky999 who has Poles CS) in TOP 100

Prepare a battle like that is not an easy thing : We need to work on a plan, keeping in mind that we can change at any time. At each change, you need change some things or begin to work on another one. It was the case (Saturday evening) when we had northern ireland back.
After our defeat, Irish CP said to me « Epic battle : Respect » and another well known irish guy went to our forum to say « well played » (no intention to troll)
Even if we are not on the same side, it is pleased that there can be respect for the other side. Nobody can deny that Irish victory was easy. Even if our 2 countries will never sign a long term peace (In my opinion, mainly for real life issues but it is another debate) : We can all agree that there was a long time that we haven't had a so epic campaign between our 2 countries

was a really good effort by all involved. i know Legion planned and had everyone saving bazookas for that day. just a real shame we could quite manage it.
Perhaps one day the powers that be will ask themselves - "why?"
I would say that the reason for our nations not having peace is in fact due to respect and the fact very few Irish have ever shown any in the past.
We fought well and for that we can be proud. We need to begin planing for the future, and we have done. It may surprise people but the government isn't with strategy, it's just we cannot always reveal all of it.

Epic battle and important is the respect. We need someone to fight to, it is nice that the Irish are doing that. 😃
The support given for the battle from the eUK government and from MU's was great. Many did their upmost. When we will do that again in the future our nation will become stronger and will win too.

Well, we are finally coming for real help. When we drain the French completely in our direct battle, hopefully you'll be able to liberate your regions from them.
Well it was not a campaign between our two countries. A campaign between our two countries is something like the RW today. Knife in butter.
Eden has larger firepower for now. We must accept it.

It was a good battle, but I think that Ireland will never want to be anything other than hostile to the UK. Half of the articles we see coming from the bankrupt Isle talk about how they need to restore Northern Ireland to its "rightful" owners, and this is a major reason why our previously good relations have broken down.

That's just lies tbh. You're so used to saying it you don't even seem to bother checking if it's true or not.
Any articles about NI are either by noobs who don't understand the game properly yet, or by experienced players specifically to wind you guys up. I and most other e-Irish see NI as nothing more than a Fish bonus and as well as that it is one of only two UK regions that Ireland naturally borders so ofc it is going to be the most attacked region by Ireland.
Don't for a second try to make out that you guys have never trolled the Irish(in the Irish media) using rl references to colonialism and the Great Famine(lol you just brought rl in yourself with the bankrupt comment) Don't try to deny that eUK also has noobs releasing silly articles about rl stuff on a regular basis.
At this point, the problems we have is because of our ingame history. Tbh experienced e-Irish players are bored to tears with fighting e-UK, but not like we have a choice. Even if we do wanna attack someone else we have to go through you guys. In 6 months time UK will prolly have wiped Ireland again at least one more time. It's a perpetual war. Don't hate the player, hate the game. Please stop pretending that this war has anything to do with rl. Most of us(any of us that have a bit of influence anyway) leave rl at the door, please stop insinuating otherwise.

Like I said, it's not hostility at this point tbh, we have no-one else to fight. As well as that, if we don't NE you guys, you guys are just gunna NE us anyway lol. So I think you need to step back a little and take a proper look at the situation, cos you're not seeing it the way it is.
And it was an EPIC battle. I though about releasing a troll article about how you guys got Serbia wiped and no congress, but after seeing how hard you fought I decided not to be an asshole.
A great effort and my respect for you guys is higher than it ever was.
