[UK]Are You Hungry?

Day 3,500, 14:43 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by 10 Downing Street

Good Evening;

Delicate intro, neat joke, something about Rex being sensitive about his dogs.

Now that the lighter stuff is out of the way, it has been quite an (in)eventful beginning to the week. While I am sure we all wanted to see BigAnt write his next article, entitled Doody and Fart Mr Doodyfart, which I believe he came up with himself, I am glad that I still have the patience of some.

When I took office, I said that we all had to accept our blame for the things we cause, because in the end we are all responsible for most of our issues. I certainly accept that the last four days at least have gone against what I had originally put together, trying to deal with some outside influences. Our ally in France, in a similar situation to us in terms of looking to have some fun, tried very valiantly this past weekend in an air strike. I have to commend them for their courage to be different, and the effort they put in. It's worth mentioning much like us that they experience some of their own civil unrest which alerted Ireland to their plans far ahead, and limited their ability to communicate even within their own alliance.

Breaking the monotony just for you Pauly

It must also be said that along with what you want to be your leadership, Congress has to shoulder some of that load as well. When we discussed our options in PMs, and in articles starting roughly ten days ago, the most of the vocal ones were in support of the war. Most of the non-vocal ones were, well, non-vocal. With the way events had unfolded among our alliance, moving our timeline up, I asked for a vote. 7 MPs, and 2 non-MPs voted. After three more days, I feel that we finally have enough of a representation to say that as a Congress, we have voted for war. Out of the votes received, just over 33%, only 2 were against.

I will also be frank. I would have been for a direct war on Ireland six weeks ago. I told SHA as much then. My vision for a war on Ireland is not really a two day campaign. I much prefer to simply have a country to country war, in hopes that it continues to drive the uptick in activity we've seen lately. Ironically, out of the MPs that have voted, it was UKRP that was the most absent so I would ask to even my own supporters the same that I ask those who vote against me. I will also say that I am not sure it does us much good to be allied to every country, even as nice as that concept might seem in a war game.

Because Pauly demands satisfaction

To Ireland, I meant what I said. My Congress has voted to go into a war, and as President I believe that to be best for our nation. At the current it's you vs us, and almost equal. There are some faithful residents of Ireland that will fight as hard as we would for our own shores. It's time we did more than practice. Ireland has a very capable President, and one who is not afraid to bring in every fighter with his bankroll that he needs. He spent an estimated 5 million CC on CO's to fend of France from what we could gather, so he's not afraid to pony up when it's needed. I am going to instruct Huey to return any tax monies accrued through today on any regions returned to Ireland to finalize any monies owed.

Dare to be different in a world that is already mostly occupied. Dare to believe this game can be more than the shell of itself. Dare to make it just a little more fun with me.
