Join the new world

I know it's 9 days until the party president elections, but let's get this out into the ether early because starting tomorrow there's a 48 hour nomination period for Party President on the USWP Forums. If there's more than one nominee then it goes to a Primary vote.

Why am I telling you about all of this?
_{Besides obviously being the Media Director and getting the word out on an upcoming election?}



"Why?" you ask.

Activity, I say.

But that's not a real answer is it? Oh, it is.

The USWP has suffered a huge drop in activity recently. I'm going to put that on the leadership team, which I am a part of. We just haven't done anything to rejuvenate the party base. In the media department, I just haven't had anything good to write about outside of elections which gets stale after the first 2 or 3 times you write about them.

So what am I going to do about that?
Well the first thing I'm going to do is send a PM to every party member this afternoon individually asking them to do a few things:

1. Vote for this article. We need a presence in the top 5 media.
2. Go nominate someone tomorrow or Sunday on our forums
3. Explore our forum if they haven't.
4. Sign up on a form in the PM asking them what they want to see the party focus on.

This is just a first step. The results of this survey will go to whoever wins the Party President election and I will offer them the opportunity to review the results and give them suggestions for where we should move from there. I will also share the results of the survey on Tuesday when I can either write about more plans that I will be instituting or when I'll be congratulating whoever beat me in the Primary and hopefully helping them build a stronger party.

Rebranding Plans
Gnilraps started and I'm going to continue to run with a rebranding plan. The Zombie moniker is not the best and it makes the party seem dead. Well in fact we are struggling with activity and we don't want to have the idea that we're some button clicking, mindless horde.

Gnilraps suggested our Brains for Zombies program be renamed to FastForward and I will continue to make that our new brand. We're helping our new players get a jump start on the rest of the players. It also moves us from a slow moving group of brainless players to a group of quick, invigorated people ready to help play at a moments notice.

People may hear "Rebranding" and think that I'm going to change the name, or imagery of the party. The logo, party name and everything about the USWP will stay the same. We just won't be "zombies" anymore. We're Workers, ready to work to build a better America!
