Introduction


I’m Sven Goran Duran-Duran and I’m delighted, and proud, to have been selected by TUP to stand in my RL home region of the North East <3




I’m new to ePolitics and know what it is like to be a noob. In fact, through those early months, the help I received from TUP is one of the reasons I’ve decided to try and give some back by standing. Because TUP is not concerned with vested interest or making the rich richer. It is not elitist. It’s an inclusive party that gives food to the poor (e.g. the Unity Food Programme) and lets people like me, people like you, stand for parliament.

As for my values, they reflect those of TUP: I believe that every citizen should have the opportunity to realise their full potential, on a level playing field, regardless of in-game age or political allegiance and that the country should do what is best for the majority of its citizens rather than the few. I strongly oppose any elitist or corrupt actions. And on a personal note, I am in favour of more space monkeys (in principle).

I believe that my knowledge and experience, alongside my fresh enthusiasm for the role makes me a good candidate for your vote.


Experience

I am a current officer in HM Armed Forces and hold the rank of Lt.Col. I am required to be forum and IRC active for my role. I command a regiment of 9 men (and women) and have done, successfully, for many months. Before that I captained the Belfast in the old Navy and before that I served under Rawdon on the Katana.

I now answer to General Kdogground2 himself.

In my Army role, I have dedicated huge amounts of time towards educating and assisting new players. I’ve been very active, spending many hours each day keeping up to date on everything that is going on.

I'm a (relatively) successfull businessman and have a good understanding (and experience 🙁 of the woes of the switchover)

Goals

1. To support and encourage new players.
2. To support democracy.
3. To support the military.
4. To encourage activity on the forums and in the military.
5. To vote on every single bill/vote going through parliament or in game.
6. To challenge any proposals that will harm the average, low level player.
7. To be in favour of more Space Monkeys


Closing Statement

Anything could happen in the coming month. I will be active daily and ready to respond to any situation or bill that comes along.
