Join the new world

Hello and welcome to a new scheme that aims to achieve something which has become unfashionable: Looking after you.

First things first, I’d like to introduce you all to our new article banner made by the amazing Rory Winterbourne II! The tabs are all clickable so you will be able to follow those to the party, the guides or one of our community pages. The wiki pages are under construction but you’ll be able to see we’ve made a start already. This is a step towards my goal as PP, promoting an accessible and proactive platform to help our players. We hope to engage with players who are somewhere between ‘new’ and ‘new-ish’ and ensure there is communication and a rewarding environment for them. My aim is to aid and hopefully boost our woeful retention, which remains low despite the recent uptick in new sign ups.

TRS have had a lot of great ideas in our manifestos looking at the domestic policy of the eUK. Unfortunately we have either not managed to get into a position to run them or did manage to run them and once leaving office they were discontinued. Well, I still think they are great ideas and as such have decided to run them under the TRS banner! Forgive me for posting these policies verbatim but these new plans will include:

New Player Contract
Many new players have signed up and many old players have returned. Both need support joining eRepublik. TRS will be bringing back the new player guarantee & rewards entitlement. TRS will GUARANTEE that every new registration to the eUK will be contacted within a week of starting. They will be provided with a starters bundle consisting of:
- 1000 energy of food
- 20 Q7 guns
- A named Mentor
- Links to tutorials from their mentor
- A one week check in and two week check in from their Mentor.
- Access to a rewards pot to encourage them into the game.

Subsidies
To promote this part of the game we will create and actively promote subsidies for new player companies. Subsidies and grants are nothing new but there is no effort made towards letting people know of their existence or how to apply, or worse the information is buried in walls of text. New players have reported struggling with low storage, as it is taken up by their FRM and WRM rewards from the daily missions and to combat this we will ensure there are grants available for new players to expand their storage.

To compliment the above, we will offer more education on how to run successful companies, including new player recommendations. This will be embedded in the TRS Knowledge Bank and mentoring resources.

Food and Weapons Giveaways
Aimed at new players, this will be a new initiative to provide food and weapons to new players who need support. Much like BUPA and the NHS, whilst one is categorically more busy than the other, there is definitely room for a 3rd competitor. This will be similar to both, signing new players up in order to provide food and weapons, but will be able to ensure we can direct players to our other resources above - and any relevant government ones - and help assist with any queries as well they might have. This will be partisan run, but open to any players of any party who meet the requirements.

One of the things I have prided myself on in my eCareer is my pursuit of improving the game at home for players and assisting new players in order to improve the eUK and in turn make it stronger. Whilst I unfortunately have not made it into the top job in order to implement these plans from the top down, I feel like myself with the support of TRS will be able to offer these services at a level to rival what the current government is able to achieve. It is a poor reflection of our current approach that I do not expect this will take much effort. But I hope it will at least put the country into second gear and get the cogs turning in the cabinet so that we can eventually end the reliance new players have on charitable citizens and see these activities adopted by a proper functioning government. Until then, TRS stands ready to help.
