[Trito4CP] Focus on the Home Front

In this article, I am announcing my intention to run for Country President in the upcoming Presidential Election. In this article, I also hope to point out my key ideas: a focus on the home front.

The past few months have seen a great deal of expansion in foreign policy, we've been signing new MPPs, making new allies, and even fighting a few wars. 🙂
I would like my goal in my term to be the develop our citizens at home and to withdraw from world affairs, if only for a bit.

I have several goals in min😛

1) To attract new citizens to eIreland
2) To expand economic activity in eIreland
3) To expand player activity in eIreland
4) to have a peaceful term, with only a Training War, so that we can recuperate. 🙂

On my first goal. In my term, I would expect the Minister of Community to work alongside the Minister of Foreign Affairs to publish articles in other countries to attract immigrants to our beautiful eNation

On the second goal. I expect the Minister of Finance to develop subsidies so that both citizens of eIreland and citizens of other countries are encouraged to develop their factories here. I hope to expand the Irish Market, especially in products that our domestic market is weak in.

On the third goal. I expect the Minister of Community to handle the Dublin Communes, organize competitions, games, etc. and to make eIreland a united eNation where every player is interested and having fun.

On my final goal. I plan to continue the TW with Albania, talk with Bosnia on how longer they need the region, and work towards a short term NAP with the UK in which we continue to hold Northern Ireland.

So you pretty much can't have a policy of Peace + Ulster its either one or the other.

When I say that I want to "work to continue to hold Northern Ireland", I mean that in negotiations, we will try to get that territory. It is not economically important to you, it's only one region, but it's important to our hearts and minds here in eIre.

But again, the primary goal is peace with the UK, a short-term NAP, so both eNations can redevelop after recent wars.

You can't have it because;

1. Gameplay dictates that determination will build up and make the region easy to return even if you chuck a load of cash at it.

You'd then have to declare war to get it back (which obv. negates the whole 'peace' thing you're going with) and then you're just a couple of rich or strong loons away from Eire rolling into UK proper or the UK stampeding into Mayo.

All the while this is happening you're dedicating damage to holding onto an increasingly untenable position that would be better spent on your allies (who you do have a good record with).

2. Roleplay faggery makes it impossible for any UK politiker to give you the region especially when you took it by bandwagoning onto a larger strike as per usual (NOTE: a perfectly sane, wise and correct strategm on your part).

Letting you profit from such actions would be an act of foolishness on the UKs part that would only encourage you further.

3. The heart and soul aspect you refer to also makes it impossible for you to keep the region uncontested as you'd otherwise have nothing to drive the native republican base to acts of activity, engagement and continued clicking if you didn't have the big pokey stick that is "Lets take Ulster/Hold Ulster from the Brits".

Without being able to stoke the rage of Post offices, Potatoes and Partition then what else is there for you to get passionate about?

TL😉R - Peace is overated and pointless in what is a click to fight game. You don't like us and you certainly wouldn't trust us anymore then we'd trust you past the first forig NE upon us.

IN regards to your economic goals.... how will you attract foreign investment when your bonuses are so low? (you have stated that you dont want war and will continue the TW, so there will be no new bonus regions).

As someone who has HC in different nations for the benefits of 100% bonuses, what sort of subsidies will you be offering for me to do the costly move of moving my companies to eIreland? (which is very expensive as well as losing out on bonuses).

Second question, your points raised are all starting with "I expect the Minister of...", so you unnamed cabinet is ones who will do all the work? who are these players/background (since I am new to your shores) and what will you be doing?

wrm we have 70% bonuses in 1 region which is ok . you dont have to move your hc's start a small operation here.

I already have massive operations taking advantage of 100% bonuses. While I would like my tax dollars to go to a country that I elive in, that is why I was wondering what:

Whether it is to help move the HC's here or to help make those products available in the local market via Market Lic and tax benefits (if selling from an overseas HC is taxed heavier)

I don't think subsidies are a good idea. we worked in low bonus regions for years it just takes more factories. and we get a cut of the taxes for foreign HC if you are a citizen as well. So I think citizens should be encouraged to have at least some factories in our region not necessarily all of em.

10000 factories would earn you around 30000 a day so it is between 1000 to 10000 that must be planted here.

Secondly, the subsidies will probably be for market licenses as moving HC's or building new ones is very expensive
