PARTY MATTERS.
We have experienced a massive growth the last few days, our party seemed to die when our member count to 13 members, but have proven everyone wrong by growing to the record number of 22 members. We aren't done however, our goal is to get in the top 5 by the end of September, so TI members can run for goverment, and ultimately participate in a goverment. We still need 18 members to beat CPNL and seize their 5th position. That party isn't too active anymore however, and is slowly but surely losing their members. (They once had 55 members, nearly conquered the 4th spot.)

Our Program in short:
*Bilingualism, English as main language, Dutch secondary.
*Promote our country to foreigner, to get a secondary source of population increase, besides new citizens joining eRepublik.
*Establish greater foreign relations & cooperation.
*Maintain our good position in a military alliance, look for possibilities to wage war, which is so very important for our economy.
*Review and analyze our current government system and constitution, as it’s clear that those need some serious work.
*Increase our activity by getting people on the forums and the IRC channels.

GENERAL POLITICS
*A vote has passed on changing our country name from 'The United Netherlands' to 'The Netherlands.' As it is a constitution change, it has to be voted for again next congress term.

*A new goverment has been confirmed, a goverment where a TI member (Tonie112) holds an important position: Minister of Foreign Affairs.

*Boklevski proposed the votes to reconstruct the congress and goverment rules, votes which has passed.

*A new deputy chairman has been elected in a close battle: Rowan_Quigley had one vote more than old timer Frerk.

ELECTIONS
Following elections have (again) turned in a battle between GLD/I&W and LSD/IP/CPNL, with Tim Veltkamp being supported by GLD/I&W and Coolissport supported by LSD/IP/CPNL. TI has decided to support Tim Veltkamp, while it first supported Coolissport. I would like to clarify my decision once again. I think Tim is better because of a set of reasons:

1.Experience - Coolissport hasn't any experience, except for deputy chairman. Tim Veltkamp has experience as MoD for several times, and held other positions as well. Tim knows how politics should be dealt with.

2.Contacts - Cooliss hasn't any international experience or PHX contacts, while Tim Veltkamp has.

3. Activity - Cooliss isn't too active, Tim is, although he lives in a total different timezone than most of us.

4. Personality - Tim is professional, cooliss hasn't shown his best side in the history, but also recently. He insulted some persons (Konrad Neumann for example) and refused to talk English in the official Netherlands IRC Channels. (He talked Dutch all the time.). He also recently called me 'naaier' (betrayer, with a mean touch) after I changed support.
