**The OG: Say Yes to a Constitutional Monarchy in Canada**

Day 837, 13:14 Published in Canada Canada by Banach
Indeed, Where's the Crown?

I propose to our fine Parliament the creation of a monarchic title (King or Queen) to be given out on a whim and to serve as a symbolic feature of our grand confederacy.

Perhaps some may question the practicality of having a monarchic head of state, but it just seems like the progressive thing to do.

The King of Canada should receive a hefty wage and pension, lack of accountability and the ability to veto any Executive Order made by the Prime Minister.

Moreover, the King (or Queen) will have full access to review the military, be fully in charge of handing out national awards, attending foreign affairs conferences and all that kind of sh*t.

Now I know I've sold many of you on this idea by this point, but it doesn't stop there.

The King of Canada can be removed from office if half the parliament of Canada signs the "Get him the fu** off the Throne and execute his ass" form.

At that point, the King is removed from his position and loses any further eligibility to run for office. In the same respect, the King cannot appoint a successor, instead, the Prime Minister must appoint one.

Serious idea.

Also, Banach for first King of Canada.

Enough credentials to feed Africa, keep the Siberian natives warm and write a 6000 word budgetary essay.

Cheers,

Banach
Future King of Canada

PS. My Title name would be Amadeus I of Canada
