Join the new world

My fellow eKiwis,

I come to speak with you today after a period of unprecedented upheaval and change has overcome our tiny nation. Much has been said by many respected figures in eNZ and I feel that their words deserve consideration. These are unusual times and as a nation we need to accept the hand which has been dealt to us by the in-game mechanics.

With such change happening and the recent announcement that a return to Dictatorship is in the offing, I have been given the privileged opportunity to stand on behalf of the Peace 'n' Prosperity Party (PnPP) in these coming elections. I wholly believe that eKiwis should be given the right to choose the leaders and have a direct say in the running of our nation.



The debate which has emerged in this country is one centered strongly on the type of regime that eKiwis want. I want it to be understood that I will always prefer democracy to dictatorship. It must be understood that the PnPP has historically opposed dictatorship and we will continue to make it clear that our party will never fully endorse the establishment single rule.

This being said, we in the PnPP, and myself, are a pragmatic group. I appreciate the honesty which Koska De STRAH has had in telling all eKiwis the truth of our current situation.. The reality of our current situation, because of the in-game mechanics, is that we may be forced to accept a dictatorship for the sake of not only regaining a region, holding Congressional elections but also for the sheer sake of allowing an active community remain in place.

It is therefore with a heavy heart that a part of me finds myself resigned to accepted this regime and the likely outcome it will have for eNZ. With this being the case, I have decided to shape my manifesto behind the vision that I can see for the implementation of a regime that ensures both democracy for the people and yet stability through a secondary hand of the dictator.

Thus I offer my vision for eNZ



If the Dictatorship is going to take place then I propose the establishment of a regime that will operate under guise of this in-game mechanic and one that will allow us to function. So here are my proposals

The Dictator
-this position will be held by "active" citizens and those who have shown their service to eNZ. Their role will be not to rule or govern eNZ, but merely to carry out the actions of the elected Country President/Congress.
-will serve in a advisory capacity and if the position does open up, it will be for the active citizens to negotiate who shall replace the position.
-the role is meant to be as cautious hand who ensures that our nation does not fall to pieces but is also held in place to ensure there are not takeovers or PTO's

The Government
-this institution will consist of the elected Country President (elections still take place), along with those Ministers appointed by them (Prime Minister, MoD, MoFA, MoI, Governor etc).
-the game allows for titles to be created and I feel that at a minimum we should have a PM, MoFA, MoD and Governor for Finance). These can be decided by the Country President in consultation with the political parties, MU's and active citizens.
-the primary function is that the Country President will still be the governing figure, as the Dictator will adhere to whoever is elected to the position (this will ensure our elections still matter).
-the government will operate through IRC chat (NZ army) and will require only those figures who can commit to being actively engaged and involved.
-it will be the responsibility of this government to run the nation, with the Dictator being included in discussion but expected to okay the decisions of the CP and Cabinet

Congress
-it is my hope, as noted by Koska, that we can see a return of at least one region and therefore the election of at least 10 Congressmen
-The Congress, while unable to vote for MPP's or Finance, will have a separate in-game chat created to voice their opinion and have votes on matters
-it is my hope the Dictator and more importantly the Country President/government will consult Congress as it will give players the ability to win a medal and have early training in joining the NZ gov't
-It is highly unlikely we will retain the region throughout the 30 day period but as long as it is held for elections, then I see no reason we cannot make this function again

Political Parties
-under the new regime, seeing as Congress (hopefully) and Country President elections will be taking place, it will fall to parties to engage their members, choose active ones to run and help ensure the new regime functions
-a chat of the party Presidents should be created (heck I will create one each time, even if I'm not PP) in order to facilitate discussion among the political figures in eNZ
-parties will be expected to work towards the betterment of eNZ and importantly through communication, we will seek to facilitate engagement among the members

Military Units
-military units will continue to remain autonomous of the government but with the appointment of a MoD, it will be my hope to have a permanent chat created among commanders, 2nd in Command and the government, along with regular correspondence on the IRC which we want to see accomplished
-it is my hope that with a more lean structure, we can see greater coordination for BH, resistance wars and other military engagements where the eNZ MU's need to work together.
-it will also allow newer members to build up their strength and learn from our veteran players



I realize that is a very detailed platform but what I'm seeking to offer is a concrete vision of how we allow eNZ to function under the regime of a dictatorship and continue to engage our citizens and help keep the spark of participation among our active citizens intact.

I have posted this manifesto as a point of discussion and to attempt to help create a foundation for what Koska and others have stated is coming. If there is at least a template in place for us to work with, to consider and to show the citizens we have, then maybe, just maybe, we can make this new adventure one that will re-engage our base and help to keep this tiny country a opened and fun place for all to join.

I am not asking for a revolution, and I am not asking for the citizens to jump over the edge. All that I am merely proposing is an idea for which we can build this new regime and help to ensure that the citizens of NZ have a direct say in the future of this nation.



Well that is my manifesto and the vision that I have for eNZ as we move forward with this new venture. I hope that all players will consider it, I hope that all citizens will considering voting for me and I hope that it lays the foundation for a regime that all eKiwis can take pride in and work together towards seeing it reach fruition.
