There have been a few comments made recently around the eUSA that the new government has created too many departments, too many agencies, and has just become bureaucratically crazy.
I beg to differ.
The eUSA is a rapidly expanding country. We had just entered the top 5 countries of the world slightly over 2 months ago. At the time the country could easily manage itself with a low number of active players.
As the country has grown the number of both active and inactive players has increased. Managing 10 people is different than managing 100 or even 1000. In order to increase the amount of projects and improve society more departments had to be created.
Departments are not created on a whim, there has to be a need for them. If a department accomplishes nothing it would be quickly dissolved.
When I was an officer in the National Guard I would specifically offer any person who complained about something a more active role within the Guard and the Military in general. People who complain are usually wanting more activity, more things to do, wanting to keep occupied. Luckily, within the Guard we now have a few Colonels who do a great job. 🙂
I would like to ask these dissenters that rather than complain you should lend a hand and see what you can do to help eUSA. We are a growing nation. We are not fully developed like RL. We are in the first stages of massive growth and restructuring. i think a lot of people may forget that we are still in our infancy and yes we will stumble a few times. But this is why we need your help and assistance.

I absolutely agree. These new \"agencies\" are just ways to give positions and titles to those wanting more power. They serve no purpose, but to add confusion to newcomers.
When a game has so little to offer on the surface (2 clicks and you are done) - It is important to involve people in other ways.
Creating an organised government, with people charged with the handling of various areas increases the positions available allowing more people to get involved. It gives newer players something to aim for and it increases the effectiveness of the government.
An effective and efficient government becomes much more important as the country grows in size and in power/influence.
As far as I can see, there are no \"meaningless\" positions - they all serve a purpose. I do not think that they add confusion to new players either.
@Locuteus: I think you meant to say you absolutely disagree. My entire article was how I don\'t think we are creating too many posts and departments. Our society has grown more complex and so the things we need to do are also more complex.
