[TemujinCP] Day 3607: Election Day - The Long Ride Home

Day 3,607, 07:59 Published in Canada Canada by TemujinBC

Greetings fellow Canadians,

The family and I are heading home today after spending a few days in Vancouver. The 11 year old had a routine surgery performed at BC Children's Hospital. The term "routine" is a funny word, especially in the context of an operation involving a child. The boy did quite well, despite the nurse having trouble inserting the i-v into his hand. His mother said when she saw the blood dripping on her boys hand it took all her strength not to activate "Rage Mode"!

Needless to say ol' Temu stayed in the waiting room with the 8 year old. I used to pride myself on being the stoic, emotionally-hard manly man but in my old age I've turned into a weepy soft wreck especially when it comes to the kids.

We spent last night in a hotel room, the eleven year old is feeling much better and is nearly back to normal... not sure how he's going to maintain a month of low activity as per doctors orders. This journey is ending and a different one begins.

********************************

There's another journey unfolding today and it involves our small virtual nation. The fires and flames of this week seem to be extinguishing, and the hastily implemented RoSe reset on our soil continues as a result. When times are dry we tend to clamor for rain and hoo boy did everyone get a deluge this week. I hope you were all able to take advantage of the CO bonanza.

The October Presidential race is close this morning, and we are around 75% of voter turn-out from last month (it's currently 8 am pacific time as I write this!).

My election promises include both a distinct lack of batshittery and an abundance of opportunity for new blood in the leadership circle. For many months the Canadian government has maintained a style of leadership that includes the mantra "Do no harm" and my intention is to continue this path. Some have expressed concern and outrage, even accusing several prominent Canadians of having a cabal which grasps the ring of power and keeps outsiders away.

Nothing could be further from the truth, and to anyone who is honestly interested in understanding there are openings in the Cabinet mass message. You can be included and educated in the ways of eCan governance.

But only if TemujinBC makes it home.

If you have not voted, please vote TemujinBC for Country President.

Two journeys will end today and two more will begin. Join me.

Hugs and Kisses,

TemujinBC
