[TED] My stance about the wipe

Dear citizens of eBelgium,
The wipe
Several people have asked me what were my stance about the wipe and I’m sure that you’re all eager to know what will be my position in regards to this topic.
It is clear that the community is divided about this topic as there seems to be no clear consensus. A part of the citizens would like to keep the country free while the other part would like to make it occupied.
Once again in a wish to please everyone, I would like to propose to cut my term in two parts of equal size. In the first part of my term, I would keep eBelgium free and in the second part of my term, I would try to make it wiped. Although I believe that most people will not be happy that I am not following their opinion at 100%, I believe that this is the best possible compromise between both sides.
The governmental structure
Historically, the governement of eBelgium has always been build as an help to the “almighty” country president. The problem with such a scheme is that the country is really dependant of the presence of a single person and in case of holidays or RL problems, this leads to several problems.
Although I have no holidays planned nor I think that I will be sick (but that would allow me to be more active here, so not that bad actually 😛
) I still believe that strong ministers should be the key of management.
Therefore, I will let the ministry have a lot of freedom and power for their decision and always work as a back up and indeed I will take important decisions and step in if there is a ministry going in the wrong direction.
Candidacies are still opened and it will be first come first serve such that there will be no complain about the selection of the different persons for the different ministries and that noone could accuse me of favoritism 😉
. You can also work for your country and we always lack of active citizens willing to help our country to grow and remain active. I will not put significant restrictions on your work which will allow you to work the way you want which I believe is a strong incentive and will give you the possibility to improve your knowledge of the game and your reputation in our country (if you are doing fine work that is 😉

The big question is: in which half lies the Congress elections? 😛
I cut my term in two parts of equal size 😉.
Sorry to say but you do not give both sides what they want, your choice makes it impossible again to have a congress, and with the announced airstrike it means that is possible that both parts of your reign will be wiped zone
Conclusion: only one side is 100% satisfied and the other half gets nothing at all
I am disappointed with this solution.
Do you think that there could be another solution that could please both sides?

if you becomes CP one side will have that part already, if there is a congress,they will have also some part of it and the other party will be glad also to have some congressmen, this way you can please both sides at least a bit.

The article should be like this: "I think that it is the only solution for eBelgium to stay wiped because bla (lie) bla (lie) bla (lie)" --- doesn't necessarily need to be a lie, might just be your point of view, which is wrong 😛

I just hope your ministers will have the e-belgian nationality (talking about the in-game nationality obviously).
I put no barrier of cs, so if a foreigner asks for itand that I have some trust in him, I see no reason to decline. I will not discriminate as long as the person is willing to help and that I believe he will do his best to help eBelgium.

It's not a matter of discrimination, just a matter of conflict of interests.
Example : the composition of this month Foreign Affair cabinet (with an influent UK citizen), knowing how the "alliance debate" has been handled, is a real problem to my opinion. It's kinda weird and it's hard for citizens to be sure that decisions are taken for the good of Belgium without any external influences. It's a matter of trust and credibility towards Belgian people. I hope you won't make the same mistakes.
Well, if no eBelgian is willing to make the job, I'd have no choice but to accept a foreign citizen, don't you think?
If there's no belgians, I think you're right, it is a problem, yes. So :
- Is that spot really necessary ?
- Can't you take that foreign person as a non-official and no-declared advisor ?
Note : As you can talk with any player you want, nobody can deny you that, it's not hypocrisy, it's just "talking" with other players. But that foreign player not being officially part of the government, he won't have the "power" to take decisions and the "responsibility" towards consequences : these two things should remain in the hands of belgian players.
But if the spot is really necessary and an advisor is not enough... then... yes, you might be right. But in that case, I find very bad the "first come first serve" (unless it's one of your joke 😁), it would be strange that your Foreign Affair minister would be the President of a country of the opposite Alliance, no ?
When I said first spoke first serve, I already received demands from belgians people to be MoFA and MoD so those are safe, yeah 😉
