Howdy,


In this article, I am pleased to announce my run for the chairmanship of the SFP I have several new ideas and changes I would like to make for the good of the party and I will be laying out what I have in mind below. Many of these ideas have come directly from some of your input and worries over the past few weeks.



The first thing I would like to do is centralize party communications and voting in-game in the coming term. This would mean that all primary voting done on the forum will be done in the party feed and communications, which are strewn about the forum, Discord, and various PMs will be moved into the party feed as well. It is my hope that in doing this all of you will be far more informed and will have a more active role in what we achieve.



Another major thing I want to work on this term is actually engaging our membership base with new programs and incentives. These will most likely come in the form of weekly articles with various links, battles, and jobs that can be done for supplies or other types of rewards depending on how we set it up. A new program may be in the works too so if we win, make sure to keep an eye out for that.



I would like to inform the party that our party treasury still has quite a bit of money in it but it will be depleted in 6-8 months if we do not find donors or another way to stock it again sometime between now and then. With this in mind, I think it would be best if we fund our programs out of pocket or by seeking donors inside the party. This should have the effect of buying us some extra time to search for methods of getting the treasury in a position of being net positive, but this way of buying time will be unsustainable in the end. I will make sure that all polling and our parties endorsement gets done next term and that we finish our stalling revision of the SFP constitution, something that has seriously been lacking with the past few cabinets and PPs



Lastly, I want to make sure we have a full-on assault on the media during the term. We will have to do all we can to have at least one article in T5 at all times. So in order to ensure this happens, I will begin paying writers again for their articles.
